  1. POSITIVE ENDING ON MY CASE..COSTCO JUST CALLED ME CONFIRMING THAT THERE IS INDEDD A SPECIAL BALANCING ADAPTOR THEY FAILED TO USE AND ACKNOWLEDGED THEIR MISTAKE. THANKS TO OHARE-FRED FOR HIS INPUT! THEY ARE PAYING MY GARAGE SERVICE COSTS IN FULL PLUS A COMPLIMENTARY $50 COSTCO CARD IN CASE I NEED TO BUY A 50LB TUB OF MAYONAISE.

KUDOS TO COSTCO FOR DOING THE RIGHT TIHNG BUT TO BE ON THE SAFE SIDE...I WILL STILL BE CAUTIOUS EVER BRING MY R/T BACK THERE...MAY NOT BE WORTH THE CHEAPER LABOR AT COSTCO.

    WE'LL SEE.

  2. HOLD IT! BEFORE ANY OF YOU BLAME YOUR CRAPY KUMHO TIRES...LET ME GIVE YO AN UPDATE ON MY CASE. 2011 RT...KUMHOS 19" HAS LESS THAN 15K USE ON THEM WITH THEIR OWN ORIGINAL RIMS.

SO I TOOK BACK THE TIRES FOR REBALANCING FOR THE THIRD TIME AT COSTCO AND I EVEN SAW THE READINGS ON THEIR MACHINE WHICH WERE ALL SHOWING 0-0 BUT SAME DAMN THING....STEERING WHEEL STILL SHOOK. SO I BROUGHT IT TO MY DEALER TODAY WHO CHECKED THE TIRES....ALL 4 TIRES WERE ALL MIS-BALANCED! HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?...THEY VARY BETWEEN 1.5 TO 2.5 OFF BALANCED. WHICH IS PRETTY BIG APPARENTLY. DROVE THE CAR HOME AND IT WAS BACK TO ITS GOOD OLD SMOOTH SELF AGAIN! COSTCO'S DAMN MACHINE WAS APPARENTL CALIBRATED BUT THE FACT OF THE MATTER IS IT WASN'T ABLE TO PROPERLY BALANCE THESE 19 INCHERS FOR SOME UNKNOWN REASON. BOTTOM LINE....COSTCO FAILED ME THREE TIMES!

I WILL PURSUE COSTCO AND MAKE THEM PAY FOR THE 100$ OR SO IN COSTS INCURRED FROM MY DEALER ...$85/HOUR MECHANIC SERVICE!

I WILL NEVER EVER BRING MY JOURNEY R/T BACK TO COSTCO AGAIN. ..

  3. got a 2011 R/T purchased Nov 2011... winter tires mandatory in quebec so total milage on my Kumhos are under 15000 KMS only.

jiust put them back on for summer and voila!...vibration on hwy speeds felt on steering wheel. tried rebalancing the tires and same crap. help!

  4. Hello everyone...just clocked 2000kms on my journey R/T and so far so good. wondering if any of you can give me some feedback on your gas consumption..mine takes around 300K before the odometer needle hits midway. i travel 40k roundtrip each day with 50/50 slow and fast moving traffic combined. if my calculations are correct...it seems to be consuming @ around14 liters/100k. thanks!

  5. Sal, I looked of all places on Kijiji. I stumbled onto a seller from North Bay who traded in his 2010 Journey R/T AWD. The snow tires were cluttering up his garage along with a set of WeatherTech floor liners. For both items, I paid about $750.00. The tires were 4 months old and are a set of Bridgestone Blizzaks DM V1's. If new the tires and rims alone would cost about $1500. I went to my local Chrysler dealer in search of winter tires. They put on 16" rims with a set of Michelin xIce 2 tires. I wasn't sure if they would clear the brakes and calipers. I went to an aftermarket tire and wheel retailer. He told me that 16's would clear the calipers but to be safe use 17" instead. There is a seller right now who has a set of rims and tires for sale on Kijiji. The aftermarket retailer told me that at this moment there are only 60 tires available for 19"s in Canada!!! As well, he told me that the bolt pattern on the rim is still new so manufacturers are trying to catch up. At the moment, 2008+ Grand Caravans/Town and Country have the same size. Those rims would work on a Journey. Look up wreckers if possible along with Craigslist and Kijiji. Good luck!!!

got same truck and best winter tires i found are from costco: 225/65R17 Blizzak DMV1 with aluminum alloy MACPEC rims (they do not have 17' metal rims avail) which are just 20$ more each than metal ones. total is just over 1300 all-in with the 70 $ rebate.

  6. Hello folks... just joined in frm Montreal, Canada. my 2010 Outlander LX got totalled this past september...some fool rear-ended me and tried to escape but cops caught him. my back wasn't as bad but the front of the truck was pretty smashed..32K to repair so thanks goodness for replacement value insurance! I just want to share with you all how happy I am with my Journey R/T so far...got it @ 30K + taxes with flexible seating, sunroof, etc. The later models came with the nice rallye-type face on it which i think is cool. Much more bang for the money I spent of my Outlander which ate lotsa gas, weak engine and paint that is so soft even the simple act of opening your doors can scratch it's finish. I just read that the Outlander sport is one of 2011 worst flops! I felt given a second chance and very glad that I discovered the Journey R/T.
