  1. Just blew my 2nd power steering hose on my 2012 Journey R/T. 22000km on the vehicle but it just came off warranty last October. Dealer temporarily fixed it and quoted me $480 for just the hose so add labour and synthetic fluids looking at about $800 BUCKS.....If this ever becomes a recall will Chrysler pay owners back for out of pocket expenses for these repairs?

  2. It used to work fine and would activate the heat or A/C (whatever I had it set for) . The auto comfort is set to on but as far as I know that only turns on he heated seat if the temp is cold enough. Just dropped it off at the dealer this morning and they had not heard of this issue, I hope it is just a reflash issue.....Will know in a few hours.

  3. Just noticed that in most instances when I use my remote start on my Journey that the Climate controls have shut off and reset itself to A/C at coldest temp with fan off out the vent. When shutting off the vehicle it was set at both sides 28 Celcius on defrost/floor combo with fan on high. As soon as I shut off the vehicle the normal way my touch screen displays "Climate Off" then when I restart the vehicle, it is infact totally off and nothing blowing. So much for starting up to warm the vehicle inside. Also once the radio had swithched from Satellite when I shut it off to AM Radio when started.

    Anyone have similar occurences?

  4. Integrated child booster seats is deffinately an option. I just purchased a 2012 Journey R/T and I ordered one without the seats as they were more comfortable to sit on than the ones with the boosters. The dealership had Journey's with both styles and I preferred the seats with out.

  5. Gamezone-weather on a 4.3 system!!!!!!!

Something new for 2012 or am I missing something on my 2011 4.3?

Take a picture of the screen showing this and post it.

I have gamezone where it brings up Leagues and stuff, I have not clicked on any of them as CFL is the only football to watch and it does not have CFL. If the weather is not available in Canada then maybe that is why I can't click on it. I will take a photo of the screen and post it when my wife parks it long enough for me to snap a photo. I will also try to access the gamezone features to see if I can get into it, it does display it on the screen though.

  6. I'm not big on nav systems, so the only thing the 8.4 offered that would have been sweet is the back up camera. But if I REALLY want one of those, I can always go aftermarket. Okay, the built-in Sirius would have been nice too. Can't see why they wouldn't add that to the 4.3, but whatever. I wired up the one I have, and tucked it in the console. Sounds so much better through the Aux In than it used to over the FM transmitter. :)

Hope you get your new wheels soon! We absolutely LOVE our Journey!

My 4.3 has the built in Sirius in it.....

  7. I was wondering the exact same thing. My other vehicles I use to keep a spare ignition key hidden inside the vehicle so I could start it if I lost my keys. Now if I lose my keys I will have no way of strting the vehicle. You can't keep a spare FOB in the vehicle either as anyone would be able to open doors and start vehicle. An option might be to have a FOB hidden with the battery out of it then you could install the battery and away you go..Not sure about that though as I assume a spare FOB would be costly.....

  8. Just took delivery of my 2012 Journey R/T White in Color today....Options chosen were Sunroof, 7 Passenger Flexible seating to get the rear heat and air only, U Connect, Black Leather, No Child boosters as we found the seat softer without them, driver convenience package, 19" Chrome Clad wheels, would have loved the 8 inch screen if they were available but the 4.3 will work fine. First thing was to install some mudflaps.....

  9. Waiting for Delivery off of rail car for our 2012 Journey R/T White. Checking with dealer they told me it would likely be middle of next year (2012) before the 8.4 screen would be available. We have never seen the 8.4 except for photos, would not have wanted or needed the navaigation so the 4.3 seems to do the trick for what we would use after playing around with it during our test drive. Other than the back -up camera view I think that is the only thing we would miss, we do however have the back-up assist but not the camera. We wanted an R/T in White with Sunroof, flexible seating, chrome 19" wheels, driver convenience package(Back-up assist and garage opener), black leather and no child booster seats as without they were softer. It took alot of searching but they found one and are brining it in from another dealer after it gets off of rail car.....can't wait.
