  1. My Journey does this too. Only when cold it squeals for a second when started. I have also noticed it "tics" for a while after that until warmed up

    "Tic tic tic tic tic"

Goes away once it's warmed up.

Could the squeal be the timing belt? Maybe that's causing the ticking?

I am going to book an appointment at the dealer. I've only had mine a month or so.

    Thought? Suggestions?

Please report the results back here after your appt.

I just bought a new 2010 Journey SXT (has 950 miles so far ) and yes, it makes a quick loud squealing noise when 1st started on cold mornings. It sounds like the starter is the issue, not sure. And yes, it has the tic, tic, tic noise too until it wams up, and sometimes even when it is warm. Good car overall, so far.

  2. It's actually the temperature sensor for the automatic climate control

Are you sure it isn't the rear view auto dimmer? When the little green light is on the rear view mirror, it means auto dim is on. You canpress the small button to the right to leave it off. (Until you restart the car)

  3. Got the final statement in the mail today, no further charges. Glad they didn't try to pull anything. Good luck to you all, I'll be lurking around for a while longer if anyone has any questions.

But you forgot to tell everyone that there is a $400 to $450 lease disposition fee on any Chrysler vehicle that can't be waived UNLESS you buy or lease another Chrysler vehicle. I doubt you're still lurking after all this time though.
