  1. yes you can bring your own oil just bring the right oil if your car calls for 5/30 bring 5/30 if you whant to put a syn oil you can just get a 5/30 syn petrocanada makes a great oil they stand by it with there no nonsence warranty thats all i will use

Thanks, good news for me. Gonna bring in my Motul 5/30

  2. I think it is just the resale value. For most people the 7 seater with more available options is more desirable for second owners.

    Terry

I think it might be the case. I totally forget to consider the resale value blink.gif. Nah, i'll just enjoy the ride for now and worry about that years laterbiggrin.gif

  3. congrats man, the new fascia looks great in red, hopefully i will be picking up my journey in a couple of days.

Agreed. Red actually was not in my original list. My first was black, then silver.

But during the delivery, I found out the silver one didn't have the backup camera, so I turn down the deal. Then they show me this red one.

We think the red actually looks great in real life, so here she is in my garage.

  4. Very nice!

Hell of a deal, I'd trade on color to get almost $3k in options for nothing - you did well!

The manager was a drama queen, put up so much drama that my salesperson actually wrote me a email to say sorry...blink.gif

I like my salesperson, but it's just the manager is so hard to deal with.

  5. Not sure, but I'd definitely NOT wait to that mileage to change oil, especially the first oil change which is critical.

I bought a brand new '10 Grand Caravan and waited to 5k to change oil. I would not let a car go past that, given the break-in wear metal that will have gone through the engine until being trapped in the filter. On the other hand, you don't want to change the factory fill too early either, as it contains special additives and supplements to break the motor in properly.

5k is a good compromise, IMO.

I think I'll go back to the dealership at 5k. Thanks for the advice.

  6. I always do my own oil changes, but unfortunately I don't have my journey yet!! From what I've read, the cartridge style of oil filter that is used on the 3.6 is SUPER easy to change. Just open the lid and swap it out, taking care not to drip oil all over. Don't even need a filter wrench!!!

which brand of oil(s) will you suggest for using in the 2011 3.6?

  7. Sweet! We managed to stumble on a white R/T 5 seater in Oakville. Right place at the right time I guess.

Red or black were our next 2 colour choices.

    Congrats on the new ride!

    Congrats to you too!

My first choice was Black, it was even mentioned in the contract. But the manager failed to secure one for me in the end, so I took the red one while asking the manager to compensated for my loss.

5 seater is so hard to find for some reason...maybe because they earn more by selling the 7 seaters?

  8. Just picked her up few days ago, still priming the engine. I think I'm lucky to find this 5 seater which just arrived at the dealership few days before I pick her up. Not a factory order, just in the right place at the right time I guess. Out of factory by April 16 arrived at dealership on April 27, and I had her by April 29. B)

I think red actually looks gorgeous and shiny under the sunlight, so not so sad anymore about unable to find a black 5 seater. In the end, I still got all the options I want and it's a 5 seater. Don't know why is 5 seat R/T so hard to come by <_<

And, yes, most of the R/T in the dealer lots are with the new fascia.

Will upload more photos when the weather is better.

  9. I also input my VIN number in the system just now, the timeline is as follow:

    Scheduled for build on 3/17/2011

    Builting starts at 4/4/2011

    In Toluca Terminal at 4/5/2011

    Arrived at Dealer on 4/27/2011

So the timeline is exact 6 week from 3/17 - 4/27

And I already have this car in my garage as of today. I think I'm lucky. :)
