  1. I have the 2011 R/T, i am at the drive-in theatre and with the push button start have it set to the acc. to listen to stereo, well its normal according to the owners manual that the power shuts off at 30 minutes, this is crazy as i was at the dusk to dawn drivein watched 4 movies with family and stereo turned off about 12 times, thats annoying when you are watching a movie because when it shuts off you have to press the push button start to acc. every half hour, called the deal and chrysler Canada and say there is nothing i can do its the way it is, at least with the old journey with the "key" when you put it to acc. the stereo would stay on like any other key ignition car, this is terrible any suggestions would be great thanks.

  2. Bought a 2011 journey r/t brand new 6 months ago and the alpine stereo keeps cutting in and out, i mean the sound itself , the dealer says it needs a new amp, apperently there is a problem with these amps and there is no fix available they say as they are working on it with alpine.....

The dealer told me to call manufacturer and complain, but they say sorry but i have to wait still working on a fix for this, i have researched the internet and see many others with this problem, but i dont see anyone in this forum with problem.

This is rediculous i have a new journey with a stereo that works when it wants to, absolutely terrible customer service at manufacturer, there is nothing i can do they say, i could be waiting forever, dodge knew before they sold most of these journeys about the problem i think, because i see others on line with problem from last year, very frustrating, cant return journey, cant sell it, cant take a long holiday trip, cant go to the driv-in cant get the kids to sleep etc..... no stereo who would want it, i hate dodge...they just really dont seem to care at all but act like they do care what can i do???

  3. buought this dodge journey r/t brand new 6 months ago, problem is stereo keeps working then not, it teases me by working for a day or hour then nothing, then works again, no sound that is, no bluetooth when stereo is out either, very erratic.very annoying issue, took it in to dodge they say needs new amp, but they are working on a fix for this, so they dont know when it will be available, this is totaly rediculous and dissapointing quality issues, absolute no help, they say i have to wait!! i know many people are having this problem from last year and they still dont have a fix, wish i knew there was something we could do any suggestions????

  4. hi i have an '09 journey sxt V6, same problem breaks needed, but i have a friend thats a mechanic and did all pads and rotors so i saved $ dont buy parts at dealer way more money, i paid $240 for all pads and rotors front and back from an aftermarket dealer, not much you can do the breaks on journeys work great but they do go early but so do many on other new cars i have heard of from friends, parts are just cheap thease days, i bought the cheapest parts and they work great, guy said they were made in china ceramic pads, i could of paid more but the parts place said they were made in china also so i bought the cheapest like i said, its been almost a year and breaks are still great .

  5. My 2009 Journey R/T has just over 18,000 miles on it and after driving back and forth to a dance recital for my daughter I heard this horrible grinding noise coming from my left front wheel. OK so I thought it might be my parking break stuck or an issue with my ABS system. Took it to the dealer today and found that I need breaks AND ROTORS all the way around. They are trying to charge me $900 for this. I was furious about it. But The point of this is to find out if anyone else had this same problem with their breaks at such low miles and had someone try to rake them over the coals. Any good input will be greatly appreciated!!!

  6. thanks but i bought journey used at 30,000klms it now has 52,000 klms i really dont think there is warranty here, just trying to figure out where to buy parts , aftermarket even though they are cheaper may last as long i am not sure as most aftermarket parts i am told from there parts dealers are from offshore, but what isnt anymore, its frustrating, i think i will take a chance on the cheaper parts just to see what happens, it will be a test against the dodge dealer parts..

  7. I took my car in for oil change around 11000 miles and front brakes were worn down.. Dealership replaced , i told them that this was not acceptable for them to be this low so fast.. Took car in for some front end shaking,, Turns out fron pads worn again at 25000 miles, also the backb brakes were down to 10% remaining and rotors need to be turned. Have the dealership do that,, its under warranty and should be compensated for these faulty parts. They also replace the back calipers and front pad again.. free of charge. Im thinking about getting he extended warranty.

  8. hi i am in the need of new pads and rotor for the rear, 09 journey sxt, not sure about aftermarket rotors they are about $85each and $100 for the pads, aftermarket about $50 each for rotors and $70 for ceramic pads, not sure which way to go, seems that the after market rotors are second line and 90 days warranty, but the dealers ones are 1 year warranty, but all say here how bad factory parts are,, any help please....cheers
