I'm looking for some info on the wiring harness needed for an aftermarket head unit.
I have a 2010 Journey SXT, without steering wheel controls and an REQ radio. I'm getting mixed messages if i need a canbus module, even though there is no external amp. Some suggest canbus is needed to control turning the radio on and off.
Crutchfield wants to sell me a PAC C2R-CHY4 Wiring Interface, which includes a "radio replacement module". Has a bunch of stuff. But i don't know if i need all that.
Metra has a simpler wiring harness for $20.
But i'm reading that without a canbus module the lights won't work right on the radio, nor will it shut off when you turn off the ignition. Not sure what to believe.

Hyper flash is almost always a burned out bulb. I have even seen adjoining running lights cause hyper flash issues.
Check all your bulbs.
I have checked the bulbs, they all seem to be working. That's why it's confusing.

I'm trying to figure this out without much luck. I just bought a 2010 Journey, and the left turn signal sometimes flashes at normal speed, but usually hyper flashes. Both front and back flash, so it doesn't look like the bulb is burnt out. any suggestions on what to look for?

Turns out it's an REQ, not RES. No steering wheel controls, old style radio.

I am looking for a head unit to replace my RES factory model. Cany anyone suggest a third party unit (price is not a huge concern).
My factory unit does not have backup camera, or nav, but does have serius with a roof antenna. So i guess that's an RES unit. It does not have uconnect installed.
I'm looking to add a backup camera, NAV, and primarily apple car play. Might be nice to have other features, but those are the ones i care about. Any thoughts?

Anyone know of a way to get new pins that hold in the tail light assembly? Or do you have to buy an all new assembly?
