  1. Thanks for the response dp360. I just pulled the codes. It gave me 5 of them (P0121,P0221,P2135,P2101 and P2110). I'm going to see if I can't find their meanings. Thanks for the info on the overide, puts my mind at ease a bit. I'll keep you posted.

Well, the Journey is at the dealership today. They're replacing the throttle body. I'll keep everyone posted as to whether this resolves the issue.

  2. I don't have any direct experience with this but I have head about it in general (i.e. not specifically with the Journey). I believe it indicates that the computer is getting confusing signals from your electronic throttle a.k.a. gas pedal. Probably just a defective pedal sensor or maybe a bad wiring connection. Dealer should be able to take care of it.

Oh, and just FYI, your Journey does have a throttle override tied to the brake, so if you step on the brake pedal, it will reduce power to your engine. Thus you shouldn't have to worry about runaway, Toyota-like acceleration as long as you remember to step firmly on your brakes! This has been standard on all Chrysler vehicles with electronic throttles for the past six or seven years. Why it's not standard from ALL car makers is beyond me!

  3. Hello all,

I hope I'm posting in the proper forum. So far I'm loving my 2010 R/T AWD, but unfortunately, the other day my ETC light came on and throttle response became a little choppy. As well, on occassion when the light is on, the idle will rev between 500 and 1500 RPM when I'm stopped, a little strange. Well, last night it happened again, and actually stalled when I was stopped at a light waiting to turn left. It took me 3 tries to get it started again. I've made an appointment to leave it with the dealership. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this type of problem and what the solution was. It's a shame really, because so far I've been loving this vehicle, and now I'm feeling a sense of impending doom. I know I'm probably over reacting, I just hope they can resolve this for me in short order. Any thoughts or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

  4. Hey all,

I have had my Journey for several months now and for the third time in about a month my Uconnect is not connecting to my iPhone. The first two times this happened it connected itself to my phone the very next time I got in my car and started it but this time no such luck. Any ideas?

No battery issues, the Uconnect still lists my stored numbers, etc.

Un-connected and closing in on 2010 (ie: new driving regulations for BC residents = no hands on phone).

    Hi,

I know this might be a bit of a pain in the butt. You could remove UConnect from the list of bluetooth devices in your iPhone and then re-establish connection through setup. I've had this happen with my bluetooth enabled GPS, and this fixed the problem. Hope that helps.

  5. Welcome to the forum. I am also a new member with a 2010 R/T AWD only inferno red. I wish you well with your new purchase and a safe journey to Georgian Bay with your new Journey. I have noticed that there are many posters from Canada on this forum who contribute regularly. A very great neighbor and friend as long as you keep your cold and snow north. Have a safe,Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and I look forward to reading your post's in the future of your journies with your new Journey.

Thanks very much for the warm welcome Junkfood. The trip went very well. The roads up that way were pretty nasty this weekend, but the Journey took it all in stride. It was like the vehicle was glued to the road. It's the most comfortable and confident I've felt driving up there this time of year, ever. I'll do my best to keep the cold and the snow to ourselves, but no promises. Actually, if I read correctly, you're from Michigan. Don't you guys get your share of nasty winter weather?

    Regards,

    John

  6. Hello all,

Well the wife and I just picked up our Journey R/T AWD Silver Steel last night. My first new vehicle in a very long time. I love this car! Hopefully it will be very good to us over the long haul. We're going to my brothers this weekend, up near Georgian Bay, I'm really looking forward to the drive for the first time ever. Anyways, I'm sure I'll be checking in and posting in the near future. Whoever put this forum together, I'd just like to say thanks. It was a big part of our research when we were first considering the Journey. I'm sure it will remain a very useful resource for years to come.

    Thanks to all,

    John
