I have 18000 miles on my Journey and the brakes are driving me crazy. I took it to the dealer about a month ago and they told me that the warranty ran out at 12000 miles for the brakes. I went to get pads at Advance Auto and put them on noticing that when I pulled the old pads off they were bald. Literally down to the metal and coming apart. I also noticed that is seems to be heating up like the brakes are dragging on the front. My deal is, why am I going to pay the dealer a ton of money to put the same pads and rotors back on the car that are crap when I can get 4 drilled and slotted rotors with ceramic pads for $330. They want to tell me that it's out of warranty but they need to be looking at all the problems they are having with the brakes on these cars. So, is anyone else running into this issue of them pulling the warranty card with the dealerships or is it just mine?

You have two or three zones? Are you sure that there is only one sensor for all the car?
I have three zones. Two for the front and the rear one also. I believe that there is only the one sensor but I really don't know. I just know about the IR sensor in the overhead. Maybe there is another one in the rear controls but like I said, not sure about that one.

Any luck?
Mike
No Mike, no luck. The dealership here wont help me and I can't seem to find anything else out about this. I am just stumblin with it now.

you can't , well from what i see for now ... i already pulled out the central part ... climate control is one piece about 2 inches deep ( 3 zone ATC ) and absolutely nothing behind it : big empty hole ... on the bottom there is some rails so you can slide the radio in ... there is nothing like this for the climate control ... if you pull the central piece , the climate controls come with it .. and you have two connectors to unplug : one for the climate control and the other one for all the button above ( eps button , heated seat .. etc ).... no easy modding here ...
anyway .. i need to remove it again for my custom GPS screen and back up camera .... i will have more time to look at it and figure if something can be done... i don't remember if the rails can be moved.
if you need to hide stuff .. thats one of a hell spot ... lol ))
Burn, what custom GPS are you talkin about? You make it yourself or find it somewhere? Just wondering, I haven't found anything out there yet to make the GPS look factory.

Does anyone know what exactly what I would need to upgrade to the electronic climate control in my car. I have the unit and I know I will need the cabin sensor but I don't even know if it will work if I hook it up. If anyone knows anything about it please let me know.

When I got my Journey none of them on the lot had the UConnect option installed. Now I want to install it but I can't find the part numbers or anything about it. I don't even know what parts I need. So, does anyone know what I will need to install this and know of any place I can get it. I have the Mygig REN model which has the button for it but it just says 'not available' when I push it. I just want it to look stock is all.

OK, I have read all the posts here and have a hopefully easy question. My Journey, for some reason, doesn't have the LED lights for the interior lighting. I saw in a brochure where they had LED lights on the overhead console. Can I replace all the bulbs in the interior lights to the LED bulbs like the door and plate lights? I got mine with what I thought was loaded until I saw that. I don't know if it is because there is a sunroof and that is why they put the regular lights or what but I would like to change them if I could.

Please let us know what the noise is. I just recently started hearing a growling noise but mine is when I am just idoling while in gear. If I put it in Neutral it will go away but it shouldn't be there and I don't want to have to put it in N every time I stop.

I don't have the changer but have the REN mygig. If I was to clip that wire you show would the video play on the indash screen? Just trying to figure that one out since my 3 year old is always wanting to watch something going down the road. Ah, just realized though that what you are showing is the video out pin so that probably wont work then.

How are those rotors holding up? I am just asking because like many others I need new ones and I saw the same deal on Ebay, $159 for all 4 rotors. I am just curious if they are rusting or if anything else is happening.
