  1. No tools required, simply plug and play. On the drivers side, I have fixed the ballast to a bolt hole behind the fuse box. On the other side, I simply cable tied it to bulkhead panelling.

You will have to adjust your beams downwards a little, else you get flashed a lot, especially out in the country! I wound mine down 2 complete turns with a screwdriver. - make sure you go down which is to the + direction on the screw and not -. I at first raised mine by mistake due to this reverse logic!!

Hello neighbour (Kitchener, Ontario here). I have a 2013 Journey but for the life of me cannot see these adjustment screws. Any chance you could post a pic of where the alignment screws are? Thanks a bunch.

  2. The 2009 fog lamps also have plastic lenses, not glass.

I could have sworn when I tapped one in a parking lot it was glass. If they are plastic, that is cool as they will be able to deal with increased heat from 45w bulbs. I'm still looking for PSX24W replacements that are bright white but I think I will have to go with installing the 2009 lenses and buying 9145 silverstars or similar.

  3. Hey Phil . . . guess you and I think alike . . . I really hate that Chrysler would leave such a big area, unprotected. Where do your feet hit when you are getting in and out of the car ?!?!?

I have not found any plastic sill guards, but what I have done is take some black body tape ( like a big stripe - about 6" wide, but cut narrower to fit ), and made it fit the sill on the car. I will post a pic or two in the future on this, when I get back home, on the road this week . . . anyhow, it does the job. I did this same thing on my 2006 Dodge Magnum.

    Cheers

Thanks, looking forward to seeing the pics.

  4. Hey Phil . . . have not gotten any good news. The 2010 have the rear turn signal/brake and running light in one location. That means that the turn signal bulb & circuit is the same one used for braking. As such, changing to an amber bulb for turn signal operation, would also have it coming on when you hit the brakes. This would mean a total wiring harness change - right from the front of the car to the back. Along with a change in how the turn signal circuit is done versus the brake light circuit.

It's a real shame, I had wanted a vehicle with the rear amber turn signal. That is what I saw on the 2009 Journey. I just assumed that the 2010 would be the same. Not so in north america. . . .

Doesn't it just suck. I too wanted them. They also did the same with the front fog lamps. 2009's has the 9145 (45w bulb) with glass lenses, we get the the cheaper (24w with plastic lenses). To replace the lenses costs the following (2009 Journey Fog Lamp 75.55 EACH part# 4805856AB and a new 2009 Harness is part# 68024568AE 237.00). Why mess up a good thing? It boggles the mind.

  5. I have the REN radio and DVD+R works fine on that one. I used Roxio on a single session.

One thing to note if you put multiple folders out there you will get multiple playlists. I found it useful to put each artist in a seperate folder so you will get mulitple playlists and easier erasing of songs/artists.

When you say you used Roxio on a single session what do you mean? I guess I'm after which option you chose (ie: create audio disc) and roughly how many songs fit on to a DVD? I also just noticed you have a different radio.

    Phil.

  6. Sorry everyone . . . have sort of stalled on this one. Have been out of town and busy with work . . .will have to check with dealership on the wiring harness again. I am SURE it MUST be different between 2009 and 2010 models.

Any word on the harness A12Rag ? This would be nice if we can make our 2010's have amber rears.

    Phil.

  7. I agree about the yellow fogs. I put the Sylvania Ultra's in my 4 head lamps. I'm going to look into the harness part numbers to make sure the 2010 harness can handle the slight increase in load. My bet is the harness is the same as 09. Then I will price 2 of the fog lamp housings from an 09 as we need those to install 9145 Silverstars in. There are no Ultra's in the 9145 but the Silverstar will look just as good and cast a much better light.

  8. Lots of wrong info here.

    From the 2009 manual:

LIGHTS BULBS — Outside Bulb No.

    Low Beam Headlight . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 9006

    High Beam Headlight. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 9005

    Front Park/Turn Signal . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 3757AK

    Side Marker Light . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 168

    Front Fog Light . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 9145//H10

    From the 2010 manual:

LIGHTS BULBS — Exterior Bulb No.

    Low Beam Headlamp. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 9006

    High Beam Headlamp . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 9005

    Front Park/Turn Signal . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 3757AK

    Side Marker Lamp. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 168

    Front Fog Lamp . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . PSX24W

This link gives a good look at the 2010 bulb specs: http://img63.imageshack.us/i/philipspsx24w.jpg/

We are seeing 42 watts (for the 2009) vs 24 watts (for the 2010)

What makes you say there is lots of wrong info? I believe the 09's do indeed have the 9145 fog lamps. I saw a 09 Journey and a 09 Caliber with their fog lamps on yesterday and they are markedly brighter than mine. A quick check on web found that Dodge has moved to the 'Energy Saving' PSX24W's this year. My 2010 has the much dimmer PSX24W bulbs.

  9. Journey 2009, fog lights are 9145//H10... should be the same for 2010...

No, for 2010 they have gone to a new bulb designed by Phillips (PSX24W). Even though many online catalogues are showing the bulb as the 9145 H-10 this is incorrect for our newer models.

So you have verified the bulb as per your manual then?

  10. I'm in the UK and was wondering...where was my Journey made? Surely it didnt come all the way from ....USA? Plus is it possible to get a build date from somewhere on the car?

The VW engine, is it also a VW gearbox? Which model engine is it?I have to say it seems a bit commercial vehicle like!!! Noisy.....

From what I have read, all Journeys sold globally are built in the Toluca, Mexico manufacturing facility. They are the only plant to manufacture the Journey.
