  1. I am think of installing the hitch adapter and some things for towing my H-D, but I am not really sure what kind of item I need to get?

everyone has got is already? post some pictures?

    Thanks a lot.

    I installed a HiddenHitch (Part # 87487) on my 09 Journey. eTrailer $145

Just the hitch, no electrical hook-up. I just needed it to mount a bike rack.

It fits perfectly and uses all existing holes.

  2. Just got a call from my wife. Of course the problem didn't happen at the dealer. They tested the fob by pushing the buttons and all worked fine. They did end up replacing the fob and reprogramming the new one. Let's see if it works. It may be weeks before it happens again...

Happening to us too. The first couple of times we thought we pressed the wrong button, but it's happened a few more times and is a problem. My wife is actually at the dealer now having it checked. We have no way to reproduce the problem, so I'm not sure what they are going to check. Unless there is a known firmware issue that Dodge has a fix for... Oh well, I'll post what I learn about the issue.

  4. I just bought a Hidden Hitch for my Journey. I got it from HitchesOnLine.com for $110 + $30 shipping. Not a bad deal.

Anyway, I bought it mostly for use with a bike rack, but do have a small utility trailer that I would like to haul from time to time. I've been searching on-line for a wiring kit. Back when I put a hitch on my Jeep, I was able to buy a "T" connector for about $25 that tapped into one of my tail lights. That was a simple install and I would like to find the same for my Journey.

Where can I find a wiring kit?

    Thanks,

  5. Doug, if you have the MyGig system I would check on the NAV-TV website. They are the company that sells retrofit kits for the MyGig. I believe I saw on there instructions on how to remove and reinstall the system. Other than that, check on the Dodgeforum.com site. I am sure it has been mentioned there.

Good luck, and let us know how it turns out.

    Rick.

Found instructions for the Chrysler T&C, but not the Journey. I'm sure it's simple, but I can't seem to find any fasteners.

    Help.

  6. I have the center console with the touch screen radio at the bottom.

My son attempted to insert a DVD without pushing the open/close button. He somehow managed to push it in above the radio. Now when I push the open/close button, the screen slides down and I can just barely see the edge of the DVD, but can't grab it with anything. In fact, I think I pushed it in a little further trying to get it.

Anyway, I think my next step is to pull the console cover off (as if I were going to replace the radio) and get the DVD. Question, how do I pull the console cover?

    Thanks,

    Doug
