I've read a lot of posts on backup cameras but haven't found one that addresses my issue. I purchased an aftermarket backup camera and monitor for my 2016 Journey. The installation went well except for a final connection. I am trying to find the connection in the front of the vehicle to wire the monitor to, but the connection fire / signal only when the car is in reverse. If the monitor gets power at any other time, the monitor flickers which is happening now. I found a fuse under the hood that controls the rear right backup light, but when I connected the monitor power to that fuse, the monitor is getting power (and flicker) even when the car is not in reverse.
Anyone know which specific fuse or switch or wire I can connect the after-market monitor to, so that it only gets power when the car is in reverse?
