  1. My drivers door control will not control any windows, but the locks and mirror work. The rear windows do not work from their own control. The passenger DOES work on its own control (but not from the drivers). Saw a lot of posts and youtube videos showing a broken wire in the drivers door jamb. I finally got around to look at it and annoyingly did not find any broken wires. I removed the driver door control switch and cleaned the contacts with no good results. Any suggestions? I really thought it was the broken wire in the drivers door jamb because before the windows broke completely, it would be intermittent and one time I played with the rubber boot between the door and got it working again for a second.
  2. Hi, just wanted to mention I too had been suffering from this problem for the last few years. After the first couple times it drained my battery I just settled on staying by the car to watch the instrument cluster fully turn off EVERY TIME i left the vehicle. Annoying yes but it worked. I would say once every couple months the display came back on and stayed on. Restarting the car solved it each time. I did read another post somewhere with someone who fixed it by replacing the radio unit as well, glad that you confirmed it! The previous thread was by oldtimer1942
  3. Nope I was just being impatient....when moved all the way to the back it does lower the seat as well as move it back. Thanks! I'll still look into a power seat because I don't like the bucket feeling of the lowered seat. I prefer to sit upright but for now this will do with some lumbar support pillows.
  4. I have this lever and have been wondering about it as well. It doesn't lower or raise the seat, instead it just inches the seat forward or backwards a little bit. It seems really weird to me since we already have the bar underneath to move forward or back. I figured maybe that was just in case you needed some small adjustments and didn't want to reach down? Can anyone with a 2012+ confirm if its the same on yours?
  5. Wow I am kind of flummoxed as I can't seem to find any way to adjust the height of the non-powered seat, and its just way too high and I am not particularly tall, about 5"10. As it sits, the rear view mirror completely blocks a large section of my view. It literally blocks entire cars and cyclists and pedestrians from my view. I have to keep ducking my head down and around. At a stop light I have to duck my head down and look up to see the lights. Never had a car like that before. I saw some threads talking about swapping a powered seat but didn't see anyone actually go through with it. Anyone ever tried it yet? Another option I am thinking of trying in the mean time is to remove the rear view mirror and reattach it much higher and maybe more to the right to keep it out of my way. Any thoughts?
  6. Hi All, I purchased an aftermarket camera and rear view mirror with screen for my new (preowned) dodge journey. It should be a simple install, the mirror just needs a 12V switched and GND. The camera at the back just needs GND and reverse lights. I pulled out the liner in the passenger side and found a big bundle of cables, does anyone happen to have a diagram or know which wires would be 12V switched? I didn't want to start cutting into wires to test them. I also wouldn't mind going straight to the back of the 12V socket in the dash, however I couldn't gain access to the back of it. I managed to get the top portion of the center console trim off but thats it. The mirror came with a "add a circuit" type fuse, however it doesn't fit in our Journey's which use a rather unconventional fuse style. Thanks so much. I could move the wiring to the drivers side if it will be easier, but I park on the street so it was easier for me to access the passenger side.
