Jeffinva posted once 6 months ago, doubt he is actively on the boards to answer your question. You can try disconnecting the negative terminal and see what happens. Use the jump terminal located on the strut tower in the engine bay. The actual battery is in the wheel well and tough to get at.
As a side note, do you have any warranty left? If so, my next step would be taking it to the dealer.

Pretty sure that active restraint headrests are now mandatory on all new vehicles... I would assume that means that the appropriate testing has been done to prove safety.

The vehicle was not remote started, she got out and left it running... These vehicles will run until the first time you shut it off, even with out the key in the vehicle. There will be an annoying chiming the entire time, but the vehicle will remain running.

I'm confused... Don't all Chrysler product use AFT+4 for their power steering fluid? I thought it was made from a group III base, meaning it is synthetic... Or, at least semi-synthetic. What "synthetic" fluid is being used as a replacement?

Right, but it should shut off no matter what, once the door opens. I like redtomatoman's idea about a possible faulty switch in the door.

Lobitz68 got a reaction from 2late4u in 2010 Journey failed TIPM
Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/RAM has used the TIPM to control everything in their vehicles for more than a decade, it's definitely not a new concept in the automotive world. Also, to call the TIPM a fuse box is a bit of a stretch, there are fuses in it, but the name suggests, every vehicle function is integrated into it. It sucks yours is toasted, but a vehicle with 100,000 miles on it has an increased chance of repairs being required. And, while the TIPM is an expensive part, a lawsuit seems a bit frivolous and over the top to me. Shit breaks, it's part of owning a car...

Lobitz68 got a reaction from 2late4u in Coolant reservoir
This is a common issue in most modern cars. With emissions standards what they are, all vehicles run hotter than in the past. With the ambient heat from the engine and the heat from the coolant, combined with a large number of heating and cooling cycles over time, even the most robust plastics will give way eventually.

You should feel bad. EVERYONE knows that Chevy and Ford make every single vehicle perfect and that they are the only manufacturer that is not subject to mechanical failure. Well, at least in America. All of those Japanese manufacturers do the same thing. Dodge's will always fail prematurely and the metal they use just won't hold up. I bet you'll never make that mistake again!
EDIT: Or...just maybe your dealer is an idiot. Just a thought. There is only so much that can clunk over a bump...

I am pretty confident with that kind of wattage that there isn't a shop in the world that would try and run it off of the factory wiring harness. Should be easy enough to tell by looking at the amp or in the engine bay to see if they ran a new power wire.

Lobitz68 got a reaction from 2late4u in Doors (sometimes) unlock when I walk away .. FOBIK with me
This is because the fob is in the car when you lock it... It doesn't want to lock the keys in the vehicle, so when you close the door it unlocks and beeps to let you know that you tried to lock it with the keys in the vehicle.

2 input wires (turn signal positive and brake positive) and 1 output wire that goes to the to the brake positive on the harness. You still need a resistor on each of the factory turn signal harnesses, but that is literally 1 wire tapped into the turn positive and 1 into the turn negative. The first light took me a little while as I figured out where I wanted to tap the wires and put the resistor, but the second side took maybe 5 minutes.
    Here is their install video...

etrailer has everything you need if you're not using the dealer... including a T-connector that works fine. You only NEED to go to the dealer if you are interested in using the integrated towing features like the sway control.
EDIT: I haven't decided which way to go on mine, but I am leaning toward the integrated and, more importantly, warrantied install...

It's not a true AWD system. The vehicle decides when you need AWD and activates it for your. There is definitely a lot of interaction with all of the control modules in the vehicle in order for it to operate.
Are you have difficulty with FWD? A lot of our Canadian members use the FWD and are very vocal in letting us know that it handles great... Perhaps winter tires are your cheapest option if you are having troubles?

Actually, the head restraint should only activate in a rear collision. The force of your car moving forward after being hit causes damage to the soft neck tissues (whiplash). All that the headrest does is close the gap, leaving less distance for your head to travel and absorbing the force from your head impacting the head rest, thereby mitigating the risk of neck injuries due to rear impacts.

Lobitz68 got a reaction from 2late4u in Key not detected
Dodge vehicles act VERY strange when the car battery is on it's way out. I would venture to guess that some, if not all, of these key not detected errors are related to a car battery (not the fob battery) with a dead cell or two. The battery is good enough to start the car, but on the way out...
