I would have to go out and measure, but I think the Lucerne of mine is not much shorter than your "CADDY"! I spent the winter driving the '14 and had almost forgotten how nice the ride is in the Lucerne, it's NOT the air ride "special" with the 4.9  v8 but has the rear load leveling air shocks. Ride is great in the Lucerne, but not meant for utility purposes without hooking up my trailer to it and then a royal pain maneuvering as the combo is sooo long!  The wife's rt with hitch is so much nicer for using the trailer!

So YES an adequate size garage with high enough ceiling{12-14' high} for a surface mount 2 post hoist is MY DREAM. I've lost out on a low rise and 2  2 post hoists because no enclosed area for them over the last few years!!!!!!

Great hearing from you, been a while!

Green with ENVY! may hit low 60's between showers on Mon. and Tues. Got to get the brakes done on the Buick, the Journey's fog lamps will be quick as the splash pan is not there like most DJ's...and I prefer it that way!
I surely wish I had a garage to work inside of at my home☹️

I got home from worship services at 1:00 and changed clothes and "dove in" on doing the Buick's rear pads and rotors. Weather was fantastic sunny and 64*. Was just putting the first caliper back together around 2:30 and all of a sudden the sky went dark and thunder. then rain and then hail{small}, back to rain and then bright sunshine after about 20 minutes. Went and did the other side when I got done with the first RR corner and got done around 5:30. When the wife gets home from work with the '14 Journey and if the weather stays decent, I'll install the new fog lamp bulbs after "fishing out the broken bulb pieces from the left fog lamp housing.

Going to pick up the 13RT of the wife's today....was a funky exhaust cam sensor from removing them o safely remove the valve cover.
I guess one needs to be "prepared" either way of valve cover removal on that firewall side has a lot of stuff there and little room. This I know as I did VC gaskets on the '14 last summer!

My back is much less pained today and will probably feel even better after my wallet gets "lightened" further from this repair bill!

i use discount tire for yrs ,i just seen where they bought out tire rack or at least that is what they are saying, i use to order on line when they didnt have a store in our state and that way i didnt have to pay sales tax and also you need to wait for a holiday as they always run great sales during the holidays and then id take them to our local Walmart to have them mounted and if you buy their tire warranties they are great to work with and they replace them with no argument, my grandsons is really rough
on his tires with chuck holes and they have replaced 3 different tires ( MICHELIN )for free and all you do is pay for the new tires warranty which is around 20-30 depending on how expensive the tire is

I'm waiting for another customer of my friend's shop who has a set of 4 almost new tires for 19" DJ's that he is trying to sell .Both my friend and I talked to that person today and said we want to see them first BEFORE talking price. I did tell him I could get  NEW {as was posted to me on this thread}at $110. each. He is going to try and get them to my friend's shop ASAP.

Respectfully, those helmholtz resonators aren't or can't be restrictive. They merely tune out drone from the intake. If you like the results, rock on. I went a little different approach.

Rather own a good running car then a pretty brick lol
But in all honesty I've never been the type to want the best just different then others is all. Plus if I can do the work myself I would rather be proud of something I made with my own hands vs something I bought already done. That all said the Journey gets no love from people when I pull up until I either raise or lower it or crank up the stereo. Gone to more then 1 car show and they tried turning me away saying sorry spectators park over there.

It's funny how during winter months 45°f feels so good by comparison. Unless your in Texas. Then they act like it's a blizzard lol. Had more the one person look at me like I had a horn growing from my forehead cause I was wearing shorts and t-shirt when it was mid 40s

    2/7/24 UPDATE

All 3 Journeys are doing fine, but they all need a good wash from the mud and dust due to no snow to speak of and lack of good steady rain. Typical for farm country.
The wife bought a new $50.00 Trac Phone thru Walmart last weekend, as her OLD trac phone could not even connect to her job's wireless system. She got it all transfered and even paired it to her '13RT and LO AND BEHOLD it connects up almost instantaneously now when she gets in the car with her new phone. All the car's functions with bluetooth and phone work perfectly. I had been thinking a module problem since getting the car last summer!

Well we hit 45*f today, but going back into the freezer for the weekend......
Just got done with giving the '13 and '14 another quick rinse and wash on the wheels/arches and body. Gosh did they need it with all the mud and dust on the roads we travel the most.
Have only had about 4" of snow in the last 3 weeks! Most of which fell last Saturday but wow the winds and C O L D ! we hit 7*f Monday morning! Cars are all doing fine yet.

Most common mistake people do is start with the worst case scenario. Start small then work up frim there. Otherwise you'll end up replacing the engine each time the air filter gets clogged.

After 7 years and 61000 miles. The outside of the rotors and pads looked good. But the back of the rotors were ugly.

My 2013 has just over 80k and brakes look great. However the rotors are a another story. Slightly warped and grooved. Nothing to warrant a replacement but it's there and felt under heavy braking

I'm at 109k at the moment and still haven't had to touch them. The only real issue I've had is potholes knocking my alignment off.

@Locosiete @2late4u it was definitely (so far) just the hose clamps needing a little tightening! What a relief, thank you guys so much!!

It's an exciting prospect to potentially add a '13 AWD 2-row RT to your vehicle lineup. Balancing preferences and needs is key, considering features like the absence of a sunroof and backup camera. The decision to part with the '11 or the BUICK adds an extra layer. Keep communication open, weigh the pros and cons, and ensure the chosen vehicle aligns with everyone's satisfaction. Having three vehicles of the same make and model simultaneously is indeed a unique scenario. Stay tuned for how this deal unfolds, and may it result in another happy addition to your family fleet.

Well, I figured out something that helps low beam night driving.
On all the many cars I've had over the years{and there are MANY}, I had always had the dash illumination turned up pretty high. I tried turning dash lights down quite a lot on the '14 and '13 and WOW what a difference in being able to see the road on low beam setting without the fog lights also on!
My son, I found out has his dash lighting turned almost off on the '11 and says it helps him. BUT still would like better low beams or fogs installed. The '11 has the old long width lower grill, and fog housing trim panels are different than the other later year Journeys I have.
Also I finished up his "Christmas" present and got the aftermarket remote start fob activated and working with my alphaobd program today! He was VERY HAPPY and EXCITED to have that working, and says now it does not seem like just an old car anymore...it has a MODERN common feature now!    ....    LOL
