I Have a 2015 Dodge Journey Crossroads that I purchased new. It was recalled in 2016 to replace the Hydraulic Anti-Lock Brake Module. Worked great until last year! Started having issues with starting the car in May 2023 that I thought was a starter or battery issue. Had to have it towed to the dealer for diagnostics and repair. $1400.00 to replace the d@% Battery!! I started home after the repair, but stopped on the way to do some grocery shopping. Finished up and loaded the car to return home, and it wouldn't start AGAIN! Called the dealer the ask WTF!! They sent a Teck to me to see what was going on.. NOT THE BATTERY!! Told me that the Hydraulic Anti-Lock Brake Module was the issue. Had to tow the car back to the dealer to have it put on the machine again, and it was confirmed that was the issue. When they tried to get the part they were told that it was on "Engineering Hold" and no part would be available until SPRING 2024!! I am sooooo over this! Have been a Dodge fan for several years, and have purchased 3 in the last 20 years. NEVER AGAIN!! Part is STILL NOT AVAILABLE. I will be looking at Ford or Chevy next.. If anybody knows of a lawsuit going on about this issue, could you let me know?? Been almost a full year since I have been able to drive my car!!

You were told timing belt was changed? Neither the 2.4 nor the 3.6 have a belt, it’s a chain.
Very involved  and expensive repair. If not done properly it could run rough. Or was it the surpentine belt that drives alternator pwr steering etc. 
Always start with checking for codes when diagnosing.

The original poster of this 7 year old thread shows pic of his Journey being a flex fuel vehicle. That means YES he can run the higher ETHANOL BLEND E85 or regular gas. It is however stated in the owners book to run primarily one or the other and not mix fuel fill ups with more than 1/4 tank of either remaining "in the tank" fuel. YES it's been well documented that the 89 octane does seem to work better in the 3.5 motors when using regular gas and not E85.

 what level scanner do you use?
 You may need to go above basic OBDII  reader and use one that can read CAN/BUS for body control/abs/srs codes. You may have something going on with wheel speed sensors or such that is triggering trac. control first, that will put engine into limp mode and turn on the throttle body warning light.

well it could be several problems ,bad throttle body or dirty, or could be a accelerator pedal sensor going bad,or many other things such as wire shorting out,,,you might start with cleaning the throttle body unit..check out YouTube videos more more info on how to do it or take it to a garage and let them check it out...good luck I am sure others will chime in soon maybe with more help........P.S. when asking for help it would be great if you gave us more info like which engine you have and the mileage of the journey and what kind of service has it rec over its lifetime

after i googled it it seems they did offer them on 2017 journeys not much info on them BUT they were an option probally more than you will want to find and buy but that is up to you ,,,,good luck and let us know what you do 

Sometimes these software updates changes things, which don't need changing.  It's something, which the manufacturer does 😕

If you are referring to how it worked before by removing the posts when you clicked the "mark site read", it is different now, instead of removing the posts from the "new content" section, it just "de-bolds" the topics but leaves them there.  Not sure if it is a glitch or just how the new format works.....

Welcome to the forum. Your question would be best answered if you could post if this Journey is indeed a European market vehicle or what was commonly called a "Gray market"import. The North american market Journey's do NOT require REAR fog lamps and are not wired for them. the N.A. market headlight switch for fog lights is for fronts only.

Loved living in Wyandotte, however I am now back home in Winter Park-Orlando.  I will say though, I wish to move back to Michigan 1/2 time...gorgeous state.

HID's in stock housings really pisses me off too..

This vehicle is not on board programmable and requires specialized equipment (dealer) or a qualified professional (locksmith) to program smart key remote fobs.

Stay with OEM copper core plugs. The plug number is located on the under-hood sticker. Change every 30k miles. 

Move posts to the correct section. Ban spammers. Hide duplicate posts, etc. There is no programming. Very little work. I log in once a day and do those above mentioned things.  Takes 5 mins. And no, it’s not paid. lol

To transfer ownership vehicle needs to be certified by the dealer he mentioned. Everything has to work , for 36 days I believe.

DTR Wont come on if parking brake used and remote start is used.  Could check front yellow signal bulbs. They are two filament bulbs (like 1157 brake light)  with direction signal flash and running light on separate filaments. But are yellow coloured 1157.
Some cars use main head light bulbs on lower power feed via a separate DTR module. Journey doesn’t.

ALFAOBD can be used to turn on day time running lights feature in the ecm.  Lots of U.S. guys have done it as an extra safety item. Feature not on dash display controls, or at least not on my 2014 or daughter in laws 2012.

this is where you need to go to see if your journey drl are set to come on,since you are in Canada I assume it is the law there for all cars to have drl at all times, YOU may have a problem as to why they are not coming on, WHEN the journey is in a  forward gear they
light up if your in PARK......also you don't give the year your journey was made as well

Check the fuse.
