14WhiteRTRallye got a reaction from 2late4u in leather seats
I pretty much love everything about the interior. I especially like the way they gave the driver more space by taking a notch from passenger seat! My 2014
leather is still nice.

14WhiteRTRallye reacted to 5rebel9 in Another 3.6 rocker and cam story
So today {Tuesday} I ordered the 4 Kumho Crugen tires with ship to home for a grand total of $460.04 from Walmart. They are supposed to arrive Friday, and when in hand my friend will mount and balance them for me. I'm hoping he will also put them on the car, as I really don't care for the thought of bringing the wheels "loose" to him. He has gotten very busy this last month, I guess some folks are getting tax refunds and getting cars back in shape for the upcoming summer!

14WhiteRTRallye got a reaction from Armando G in 7 years without brake change
After 7 years and 61000 miles. The outside of the rotors and pads looked good. But the back of the rotors were ugly.

Good example of what a bad rocker sounds like.

14WhiteRTRallye got a reaction from John/Horace in Gas recycling, not surprising, really.
Then there is this guy that dumped 4000 gallons of good fuel. You could smell it for weeks.

More AWD rain traction and handling rather than "4X4". I'm sure you could easily toast a PTU and or Viscous Unit beating on it in snow, off road or wrong tires etc. Most owners with reasonable expectations don't have drivetrain issues. Being the last AWD were built in 19 YMMV.

14WhiteRTRallye reacted to DodgeaWrench in Exhaust Leak
To follow up, its been a week and all is good.
Did an oil and filter change yesterday on the DJ, and snapped a few pics of the exhaust work.
Enjoy your weekend.
This 'nut' is welded to the flange.
Was unable to remove the remaining bolt piece on this one. Drilled it out, ground down what was left of the welded nut and replaced.
This is the the other connection, from the rear cylinders to the 'Y' pipe (that I am not dealing with at this time). Its slightly different than from the front to "Y", and includes some type of gasket between them.

14WhiteRTRallye reacted to Darryl Stevens in P0302 code - 2015 Journey 3.6
FINAL FIX- found #2 cylinder intake valve rocker arm roller damaged. Up and down movement on roller axle pin.Only one of the 2 intake rocker arms had play but I changed both intake rockers for #2 cylinder just in case. Bought 2 new roller rockers from local dodge dealership ($20/unit CAD). . Removed, checked and reinstalled all other rollers of rocker arms of both intake and exhaust cams on this head, no play found. Intake seals replaced during reassembly. NOTE- previously found oil wetted intake runners were much cleaner/drier since I had replaced the original ( 126,000kms) PCV valve. I strongly recommend changing PCV valve as per maintenance schedule of 96,000kms. On start up engine vibration/ rough idle was non existant. Cleared engine code, went for a drive , all good. Hope all this has helped as all previous posts ffrom other members have helped me diagnos and fix this issue. I have filed my VIN with class action law suit in Canada against FCA ( Fiat Chrysler Canada) for this manufacturing failure. Feel free to ask any questions about this issue and I will try to help.

14WhiteRTRallye reacted to Armando G in 90,000 Mile Review
Well, my 2015 DJ hit 90k on the clock this past week and I am still as happy with it as the day I bought it. She's carried my 4 kids on long trips, pulled a trailer when I moved my daughter, driven in the snow and ice, handled 120 degree weather, and been my 'get away' spot when I needed to just take off. She got a new transmission under warranty at around 30k miles and I just replaced the thermostat. Other than that I'm still on the original battery, original brake pads and rotors, and everything still works as expected. I do perform regular maintenance as advised, and don't abuse her (too much). My DJ has been a great SUV for me and even when I look at other cars to buy, I end up sticking with my DJ.

14WhiteRTRallye reacted to John/Horace in Another no passenger heat post!
Was the proper orange coolant in there when the problems started. I think some people mix regular or universal ethylene glycol with the factory stuff. Jell can form in heater core and seems to block heat to passenger side. There are pics on line of a jelled core that was cut open to show problem. Sand from block coating was another possibility.
With a new core and a well flushed system , then rinsing with a special flush additive before switching to different coolant, it should have fixed problem.
You may have a bad actuator still causing the problem, Rockauto sells them fairly cheap if that’s the issue. If the actuator by the air hvac filter gets stuck, your passenger side will fog up and there will be very little heat. With filter out you can see if it opens and closes. My wife’s 2014 just had hers get stuck closed. Poked at it to free it up, then silicone spray on pivot point; working again for now.

14WhiteRTRallye got a reaction from 5rebel9 in 2011 Pentastar Journey. Continued build up of air in coolant
What is the fan doing when it gets hot? Have u used an infrared gun? Seems like some clues with no heat that the gun could track down. Also before & after rad etc.

14WhiteRTRallye got a reaction from Mopar4us in cold start engine noise
I had a 2.4 Crossroad as a rental for a road trip. It ran at 230 oil temp and sometimes higher on hills. It would cool down at fuel stops and gradually work its way back up. It made me nervous as I am used to the lower temps of my 3.6

14WhiteRTRallye got a reaction from jkeaton in 2012 160k - Two thumbs up
Still enjoying my 14 R/T at 56k miles. Bought with 18k at 2 years old. I was introduced to the Pentastar driving an 11 van at work. Was impressed, drove it for 133,000 miles no issues. When my 97 4runner frame rotted out (I thought I would keep forever) I got the R/T. Wife has 19 Cherokee 3.2 with 9 speed. I like the older 3.6 with 6 speed way better.
