  1. Hello,

Would you be able to tell me if the LMK option (daytime running lights) can be added to a 2012 Chrysler Town and Country? (VIN number available upon request, don't feel comfortable posting it to an open forum location). If there is another technique that might be used to add daytime running lights to this vehicle please let me know. My internet searching suggests the LMK option is available for this minivan when ordered for fleet applications, how to add that seems to be a bit of a mystery.

I appreciate your time. I understanding this is somewhat unorthodox contacting you about a minivan via a Dodge Journey site, but you seem to be the most knowledgeable gentleman on this subject I have found in my last few hours of internet searching.

    Thank you

Darn. Thank you very much for your time.

The local dealer mentioned the potential to change the vehicle to think its Canadian to enable DRL, just not sure what other side effects it may have. The dealer is only 30 miles from the Canadian border, so if anyone should know about equipping a car for Canada it would be them. :-)

We used to be able to change the Country Code in the vehicle's BCM from US to Canada on the older vehicles which would enable DRL. I can do it on my 2000 300M, but I don't think that's allowable in the newer models with the current CAN-Bus networked wiring architecture. We attempted that on a newer Ram truck but there was no provision for it.

Well shucks. I am going to give them the opportunity to try it anyway, worst case is they can program it back if it doesn't work. The other option is some kind of aftermarket LED setup, I just don't want to mess up the OEM body lines and wiring. I spent far to many days of my youth tinkering, I am slowly appreciating the simplicity of OEM more every year.

      Enjoy your evening.
