2nd row seat stuck in upright  folded  position  in 2015 journey .

I was driving  and they slid forward locked  all the  pushed forward.

I've seen another  post from  last year,  but. No one gave  any answer..

No it is  not  off of The track. Yes the front seat is pushed  up as far as it can go. No i can't put the seat in the  down position, the console  is in  the way.

first thing i would have done is swing by the dealership, they probably could help for free. i was having problems removing my second row headrest and was afraid of messing them up, went by the dealer and the manager said yea they come off he went out with me and showed me how to remove them, no problem and he created goodwill for free. a win-win....

Mine is currently stuck as well, the dealership is closed until Monday and I have no way of taking everyone without use of the seats. I just purchased the car 4 months ago and am beyond upset.

Sorry to hear. Report back the solution once you figure it out.

yes evidently the fix has not been disclosed to us here at the forum. people come with problems but a lot of one time posters after getting the problem solved dont bother to report back on what happened and how it got resolved, thus leaving others who develop the same problem with no idea on how to fix it. so please share with our readers on what happens to your vec... thanks in advance and good luck.....

i have this same issue. It seems to be a common problem. I really wish that someone would post the fix. It seems funny that I find this posted on dozens of forums but never a fix.

Hi Normanfam,

We're sorry to hear about this! We suggest having your dealer address this. Please feel free to send us a private message if you would like any additional assistance with this,

I am having the same issue. The 2nd seat bench is stuck forward and will not roll back. It is too far forward to put the seat down, and is hitting the console.

I called the dealership and they want $140 just to look at it.

By something I read earlier, sounds like the seat is off the track but I can't even get under the seat to see the track.

Found no video in YouTube!

Any answers?

Hi. This happened to me 2 days ago.

yesterday I fixed it. I will explain how I did it.

first of all. The problem is the seat rail got stuck with one of the lever mechanisms. So this is what I did.

1 remove the second row seat. To do this you must remove 3 screws and a nut ( not hard)

2 take the seat out and place it on the ground facing up

3 in the upper part of the lower rail is the stuked mechanism. Loose it with the help od a screw driver or your hand. You can also give a fer knocks with a hammer to the rail.

4. Done. Now put all back together.

I forgot to take pictures, but it wasn’t hard

Hi again. After a couole of days the seat got stucked again. So now I took a picture of the mechanism.

the problem now is that que security stop worn out. That means I had to make a new one. This time I place a piece of aluminium  in the rail. as shown in the picture ( draw a red line)

Here is a fix for the seat being stuck in the up position. This was relayed to me from a friend, sorry no pictures. He removed the seat by removing the 4 bolts shown in another video. He turned the seat up side down after taking it out of the car. He noticed a rod had come loose from the lever that raises the seat. He was able to move the lever in the correct position first and reinstall the rod in the hole it came out of. He then put a zip tie around the rod to hold it in place. He said everything was easy to figure out. He put the seat back in with help from grandkids and bolted it down. Works great now. If my friend could do this with his grand kids anyone came. ?.  I hope this helps!
