Pretty much just unbolting stuff to get to it and unbolting the rack and installing a new one. I've replaced racks on other vehicles before without prior knowledge. darrenm Posted April 18, 2017 Report Share Posted April 18, 2017 It is pretty straightforward if you are mechanically inclined. Also, don't forget to get an alignment once you're done installing the new rack. On my vehicle, I replaced the ring and pinion, and it was an easy job since I have a repair manual.
