Hovannes Posted March 21, 2017 Report Share Posted March 21, 2017 Hello Everyone; I have a 2014 Journey Crossroads and it has preformed well over the years. I have two questions; 1. When I remote start the car, will it shut off by itself if i do not drive it? How long till shut off? 2. If start the car (sitting inside) lock and leave the car running will the engine shut off when it cannot detect the FOB? francismori7 Posted March 21, 2017 Report Share Posted March 21, 2017 (edited) 1. 15 minutes and it's going to shut down. 2. If you unlock the car and press the start button (engaging the engine and gear selector of course) and then leave the car by itself, the cluster will emit a beeping sound as well as indicate that the key fob is not found. It will however not shut off and can be driven off WITHOUT your key fob in the car. Be careful, if someone breaks a window they can steal the vehicle.
