Spy shots of next gen Journey?

Recommended Posts

I am curious to see if it will be branded by Chrysler or Dodge. It does appear to have the Journey shape from the side but the front end looks a little beefier and the side mirrors have a more aggressive look. They also appear to have added a hitch receiver which is a great feature. Cant wait to see the real thing in a couple years!!

It's not the one in the OP's picture! Things change so fast. Alfa Romeo is just introducing a mid size car. The DJ and the Avenger (yes it is back) will both be based on this car, but not for at least a couple of years. Thus, they will both be RWD as all Dodge's will eventually be RWD. The Charger and 300 presently ride on a modified E Class body, from the Diamler days, but will eventually share Maserati bodies/chassis. If this is really true, Mopar will be the finest American cars; all with Italian Heritage. My Dealer is also a Fiat/Alfa Dealer. They have a white 4C in the showroom. Awesome! They have already sold two Red ones, and a Targa is on its way!

I just got a new Journey Crossroad Plus 3 days ago. I like the body style.

Being in Canada, I'm not used to the strange combinations that the US division offers . . . . when I saw the reference to the 'plus' I wondered what that meant . . . . and based on what the web site says, I am not impressed with this years' nomenclature; The Crossroad in the US is like a stripped SXT with the Crossroad platinum exterior trim - you can;t even get the 8.4" radio, leather interior is an option and there are lots of features that are simply unavailable unless you go to the 'plus'.

In Canada, there is only one engine available (the 3.6) on the Canadian Crossroad - leather is standard as is the 8.4" display radio - there are two versions, the FWD and the AWD, which has more stuff in it's basic configuration such as full leather seats instead of the leather with the mesh that you get in the basic Canadian and US Plus versions. . . . .

In the end I wonder whether the reason the Journey is more popular (per capita) in Canada than in the US might not be because there are just too many variants and options available down south.

WRONG, WRONG, WRONG! I have a 2014 Crossroad. I have an 8.4 screen and the Crossroad comes with Leather Seats with sport mesh inserts, leather steering wheel and shifter, stitched leather inserts on the doors and console lid, liquid graphite interior trim (unique), auto HVAC, folding passenger seat with storage, lighted vanity mirrors, hyper black wheels (unique) and all the platinum trim on the outside. Vehicle information Center: TPMS monitoring system - it came on yesterday: a picture of the car looking down on it. My left rear tire was 31 with an orange arrow, RR read 32 with a green arrow and both fronts read 33 with a green arrows and it told me to fill to 36. The same picture tells me if a signal light does not cancel, or if I leave the lights on. The little cross section of a tire with an "!" in the center also lit up. Power 6-way drivers seat with power lumbar, premium instrument display w/display (?), steering wheel audio controls, Uconnect voice command with voice control, firm feel power steering, tilt/telescope steering column, Touring suspension, engine oil cooler and trailer anti-sway electronics. I could go on and on but, by no means is it a stripped anything. My only options were the V6, 3rd row and Customer Preferred Package 28V, whatever that is.
