Billy Estrella Posted September 6, 2017 Report Share Posted September 6, 2017 2009 Dodge Journey AWD with a 3.5 engine. the car starts just fine and I can drive it all around, but when I go shopping, and park the car and turn off the engine, when I come back, the car won't start. sometimes when I slam the driver door really hard, I can start it, sometimes it doesn't. Armando G Posted September 7, 2017 Report Share Posted September 7, 2017 By start back up, do you mean nothing comes on at all, or just the engine will not start? Will the radio and interior lights work after you shut down? If just the engine, try to start it in neutral. If it starts, then it is probably an electrical safety feature not responding correctly (apparently on the door?). If nothing is starting, there are other possible issues.
