  1. I hit 32,000 miles on my original Kumhos and the left rear had wires showing in one spot. I replaced them with Pirellis. They seem like a good tire with good reviews.
  2. I received a recall notice to have the power steering hoses and cooler replaced yesterday.
  3. I have to go to my dealer to have the antilock brake recall done. I'll have the nav checked the same time. On a side note, I can watch DVDs on the replacement unit. only when vehicle is not in gear, but the original one didn't play them at all.
  4. My replacement radio has been working fine. What I'm asking, because Dodge is calling this a recall, is Dodge going to keep replacing the units for the life of our Journeys?
  5. I already had one radio replaced for the can't unlock maps thing. Are they related? And is this a one time deal?
  6. i just received my notice today, but had problems last winter with anti locks and all wheel drive. My wife was in a fender bender last winter because of it, but I can't prove it was because of it. Last winter our 14 crossroad would not have all wheel drive or anti lock brakes at times without warning. no messages in message center, but would only spin front wheels. It seemed like a moisture, ice problem to me, but the dealer blamed it on the stock tires. It only had 10,000 miles on it then.

He's 33 years old, and tougher than me. haha. He used the Journey to take his family my grandson's out of town basketball game. I trust him. Like I said the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

My son borrowed our crossroad, and when he returned it I checked the max speed on the navigation screen...129 mph! All I can say the apple don't fall far from the tree.
  9. I had the new wheel replaced yesterday and also had the windshied washer repaired. The problem with the washer turned out to be a bad relay. The new wheel is a little lighter in color.
  10. My insurance company assured me that anything accident related would be covered. The harness runs from under dash to everything under the hood, and would have doubled my claim if repaired the right way. It would have been easier to change when the front fender and bumper was off.
  11. We bought our 14 Crossroad in May of last year, and when it had under 1000 miles on it my wife hit a sharp rock and slit the inner sidewall of the rr tire. so I had to buy a new tire, $220.00. Then in January she got in a minor fender bender with a pickup truck with a plow on it. The plow hit the right front tire and pierced the right front fender. it didn't look all that bad until it was pulled apart at the body shop. It bent the wheel and tie rod, The main wiring harness also got cut when the plow pierced the fender. Our insurance company would not pay for a new harness because the shop spliced the wires to get it to run. We just got it back last week, and it looks great, but when my wife went to use the front windshield washer it doesn't work. I'm betting the body shop missed a broken wire in the wire harness that should have been replaced and not spliced. Oh and the 19" crossroad wheel is still on back order. Our new Journey just doesn't feel new anymore.
  12. Everyone I've talked to is missing my point. The service AWD drive light only came on once, The next time I started my Journey the light, or message was gone, but i still only had front drive. Being that I haven't driven on roads that weren't covered in snow since November, I can tell when All Wheel Drive isn't working. It's an intermittent problem.
