So I'm wanting to get a back up camera installed in my 2014 Journey SXT, but I can only find picture evidence of OEM options with static guidelines (LINK TO JOURNEY @ DODGE). What I'd really like is an option with dynamic guidelines (the ones that curve in response to turning the wheels) such as is available on certain other vehicles (links to google search image results): 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan 2015 Chrysler 300 2015 Dodge Dart 2015 Chrysler 200 2014/2014 Dodge Ram 1500 Non-Mopar: 2014 Toyota Highlander and others such as a Buick my wife had as a loaner From the digging I've done, Electronic Stability Control (ESC) is one of the requirements for dynamic guidelines - it encodes the steering inputs - which my DJ has. I spoke to the salesman I bought the car from, and he thinks that the stock camera doesn't have this feature. My questions are: Is there an option that will integrate directly with my RE2 radio and includes dynamic guidelines? Can the RE2 radio's firmware be upgraded to add/enable this functionality? Pardon me for butting in, but was the problem that the threaded fitting didn't quite match (causing an incomplete seal) and he unknowingly lost oil? Or is the difference in the filter elements such that flow is restricted so that the oil pressure readings were causing the engine to enter limp mode?
