Blind spot sensors that I was thinking of initially are proximity sensors similar to the Backup warning alarms that already exist on some models. They sound an audible alarm when the sensor comes within some specified distance. The Blind spot sensors are near the rear face sideways and are only active when a turn signal is activated. Lobitz suggested a device called Lock Pick and it appears to be the best solution offering several advantages beyond simple blind spot warnings, They are Coastal Tech out of Florida ( http://www.coastaletech.com/ ) and their product is called LockPick because it 'unlocks' many functions of your display including the 8.4" display of my 2014 Journey Limited. Of particular interest to me is the ability to add rear facing side cameras that are typically mounted under the side mirrors. They are activated when a turn signal is activated and present on the display a side/rear view that is significantly better than is available in the mirrors. This is all fully integrated into the 8.4" display. Is there an option to a 2014 Journey Limited that can be added to implement and Blind Spot Warnings and integrate it with the vehicle display similar to the Backup Assist warnings? It is likely such an add-on would have to come from the manufacturer but I am willing to entertain a Third Party add-on provided it works well and doesn't involve visible wires and ugly "stick on" displays.

I bought Weather Tech mats. The chain store called Auto Add-Ons is a dealer for them and They have many outlets.

In my previous car, I used a weighted beanbag type of holder with a suction surface in the centre and a high friction surface on the bottom. The device came with an articulated arm that had a suction cup on one end and a round 'Garmin' ball on the other. It was easy to move but would stay in place even under rather hi G maneuvers. It never failed because of a failure of the friction surface but the suction cup would fail, especially in the sun and heat, and even then, the surfaces had to be very clean. With the journey, I got a similar device that is a bit more flexible and does not rely on a suction cup. It has a high friction bottom but the top has a locking mechanism which holds the articulating ball post without suction. I place it to the left of the instrument panel 'hump'. I may try the right side but I like to keep a camera handy there (I use a small high friction mat made of the same (or similar) material as on the bottom of the GPS holder). My GPS is fully controllable by voice (in most cases). It is a Garmin Nuvi 2595. I can use my cell phone through Bluetooth with either the Garmin GPS or the DJ Uconnect 8.4. Am undecided which is best.

I just bought a DJ Limited (in Canada) last week and it came with cross rails. They were not added as an option. I just looked at the brochure and the 2014 Limited comes with bright side rails and cross supports as standard equipment on the Limited and R/T

3M makes a Paint Protection Film that they call StoneGuard. Check out their web site. They have, or had, a precut kit for the Journey that had pieces precut for just about any area including hood, grill, headlights, mirrors, rocker panels, bumpers and rear step. They consider this film to be a DIY material so it can't be too difficult to apply. It stretches considerably so it will conform to many shapes. They also sell it in rolls and by the foot at various widths. If I remember correctly, it cost around $11 per square foot so a 10 ft roll by 12 in wide would run around $110. It is 6mm thick and they also have a similar material that is 12mm thick version for high abrasion areas.

I just bought a new 2014 Journey and came to this forum because I can't find the OBD2 connector so if anyone knows where it is I would appreciate knowing. Re Code Readers in general, I haven't much to say except to note that I have a Garmin GPS and Garmin has a device which I will call an OBD2 dongle which plugs into the OBD2 connector and then transmits a bunch of info over Bluetooth to either a Garmin GPS (which I have) and/or a Android phone or tablet. The GPS has the appropriate software to display much of the car's data and Garmin offers an Android App through Google Play (free) that will accept the Bluetooth data and display even more data about the engine etc. As I recall it costs about $100 from Garmin. Probably not any better than others on the market but it plays nicely with the Garmin GPS and displays soft instruments that can be customized.

Just bought a new (Fathom Blue) 2014 Journey Limited (Limited package may be unique to Canada) so I thought I would join up here. First impressions is that Dodge really took advantage of the onboard computer(s). Very elaborate keyless system as well as various other functions such as speech recognition, lighting, customizable settings, starting, instrumentation, etc. No complaints so far but looking for some add-ons but will post elsewhere on that topic.
