  1. If it doesn't cost me anything! I will check into that, especially because it might be linked to the passenger side heating problems.
  2. My '09 Journey started having a problem with the rear passenger door lock. It wouldn't unlock unless I opened the drivers door or pressed the unlock button. I check to be sure the child protect was disabled and it was. It progressed to where now, it will not unlock at all, unless you climb into the back seat and stretch over to manually unlock it. Also, sometimes it will not lock when you drive and sometimes it does. A new assembly is ordered and I will have it installed for about $320. I have also had to have the front passenger lock replaced a few years ago. I only have 64,000 miles on the car and am being told I need a new heater core because the passenger side is not putting out hot air, (Drivers side is fine) and whatever makes the air deflect from upper to lower is malfunctioning as well. I think these are know issues and Dodge isn't taking responsibility for their manufacture defects!
  3. The last time I called (about a month ago) I was told that I was #43 on the list and they were getting about 3 per month. Doing the math, it will be close to a year before I can get my new FOB which has been failing. My '09 Journey just developed a leak in the coolant reservoir and the service tech said I could probably go ahead and get the recall fixed when I take it to be fixed if they have them in stock! (fingers crossed for next Friday) Any recalls on paint peeling on outside rear view mirrors?????
  4. My '09 Journey with 56,000 just developed the leak. :-( There are a couple of other issues but it IS 7 years old! Could be worse. Hopefully I can keep adding coolant until I get it to the shop next Friday!
  5. Well, they finally decided to take a spare off one of the other Journeys on the lot and change it out with mine.(the one that was too big) So now it is tucked up in the slot it is supposed to be in, but I am afraid if I ever have to use it, it is going to be too small and the car will be "lop-sided". They assured me it would be fine, and the spare is a "donut" type not meant to drive over 50 miles on and ALL donuts are smaller than the permanent tires. Sure hope they are right!
  6. I purchased my Journey 2 weeks ago and it had NO spare tire. The "check engine" light came on and stayed on so they had to replace a sensor (in a brand new car) and when the did that they put the spare tire and jack they had to order on. Upon looking at it from behind, the tire hangs below the bumper. It is ugly and they even have it turned so the white writing on the tire shows. I call the service dept and the advisor acted like he didn't know anything about it, said he would check in to it and call me back. Then I called the service manager and when I told him about it, he said yea, he remembered them calling wherever they get their parts from and asking about it yesterday! They DID know about it and probably thought they would be able to "pass it off"! NONE of the Journeys on their lot have spare tires that "show". They fed me some bull about that is the tire they sent according to my VIN #. Are ALL Dodge employees liars? I am really having issues about the honesty of this dealership. They also had to order the flash light and remote control of the DVD player that was missing when I purchase it. What a rip off this has been and it has only been two weeks. I shudder to thiink about what is yet to come!
