  1. Yep, i'm a happy owner of an SXT 2.0 CRD JOURNEY...... (first one was naff but having a great dealer, who swapped it out!! has helped) LOVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!! Driving it too!!! just eats the miles....................
  2. WOLF

    Most miles?

12,500 miles in the first and 7800 miles in the replacement!!!
  3. WOLF

    new Jorney

Sure can, and i'm in the UK too!!! My New Red Journey, over the last few weeks has clocked nearly 3000 miles with me, and compared to my first (GREY) Journey, its like chalk and cheese... well chuffed with the new one.... and has returned outstanding DIESEL figures, got 51.2 mpg at 62mph at one point for a whole 40plus miles of freeway(motorway) driving.. and am averaging 38mpg overall!!!
  4. i once had a complete dog of an 09 Jourrney, but the one my dealer swapped it for (my new red Journey) well its PERFECT!!! , and several thousand miles later still is... and BTW, the Patriot is a DODGE CALIBER platform
  5. Is that Midland ..as in the UK or USA????
  6. 28,000 miles and only one bulb gone...WOW!!! we'd be luck if our bulbs last 28 miles with the state of the roads in the UK after the bad snow this winter just past has given us!!!! some of our pot holes, if you drove into them, you have to reverse out there so deep!!! LOL!!!
  7. Congratulations, and i hope that you are happy with it as much as the majority of us here are!!!
  8. Maybe Chrysler do monitor the forum. maybe they don't, the fact of the matter is you have a car your not happy about, like wise with me in the UK, took awhile but got there in the end with a nice beautifully working Car... see thread link.. took nearly 10 months of constant moaning, but i played it by the book, and the result, well speaks for it self....... but you state you've had Chryslers for 20 years, then, wow... pretty lucky to have not had a duff one in all that time until now... and yes the internet is also a powerful tool, .. but do you really think, that with all the units they sell, and the fact that there are other Dodge/Chrysler/Journey forums around, that they( "Chrysler") are too worried about your "Threats"... they are probably more interested in the car playing you up!! but you do, in the current climate (financial wise) have to maon a bit loader... but not with threats, they seldom work..... ............. NO!! Not really, you may be surprised by the amount of people THAT DO fein problems with their vehicles.... and on the other hand, have you taken it to another dealer???? ........ well. any decent driver will at least once a month check pad wear levels , (they are the only items that stop you after all!!!) but i bet in your 30 years of driving, you've never had a car with NON ASBESTOS based pads/shoes??? as it was the material that slowed downbrake wear... i know in the UK that asbestos based pads/shoes have been banned now for a few years, and yes there is an increase in pad/shoe wear, on many brands, not just Chrysler... but i'll admit the USA vehicles do seem to suffer more than most brands... but then they are based on budgets.... i've been driving about the same amount of time as your self, and never until now had a bad car, have know a few, ( even Toyotas, back in the early 90's) to go wrong, and be "Rogue" cars.... all i can say is try another avenue, even try a direct approach, and get a vehicle inspector involved if needs must, as they can prompt manufacturers quite nicely.... i was not going to comment about the vehicle jerking and hurting/upsetting your late father (condolences by the way) , but even with out a car playing up, just the trip to and from a hospital, can make the sufferer wince.... if you go over a bump of any size in the road... (i know , i lost my first wife to leukemia, 27 years ago now) i know it did not help,(the way the car behalved) and no doubt you were emotionally stressed, (i know i was each trip) ...but to say it was disgusting the car causing the hurt.... i just think that comment is/was wrong.... i do just hope Chrysler gets it sorted.... just don't give up!!!
  9. Okay i will see what i can find/suss out on that then.... back soon
  10. a 59 plate will /or should be the MY2010 model for the UK , unless its old stock MY2009, which i doubt... , can i take it that you there fore have a standard radio and not the MYGIG ??
  11. for owners with a MY 2010 model , if you open the lower glove box, then within this , is what looks like a cable/wiring loom connector, for UK (RHD) spec cars it will be on the right hand side of the glove box drop down , and obviously for all those with US/LHD spec'd journeys it on the Left of the glove box drop down if your Journey is 2009 models, then sorry your will probably NOT have this...... in terms of the FM modulator item, i have had no probs with mine, and unlike some after market fm modulator ones, , it is all plugged in , even the arieal has a proper junction /cable adaptor, so you are not relying on the fm modulation as such... and the Mygig in my Journey has the radio set to "localise" with radio stations, and so will track any around the vehicle when driving, and have had no inteference... i can e-mail people the PDF instruction sheet if required so you can see "HOW"all the cables etc join in with the Mygig unit!!! hope all this helps
  12. Typical, the mopar ones available for the UK journey, when adhered , are stuck really well, like the proverbial S@#t to a blanket.... have had no probs with either set of mine ( had 2 journeys so far) and the fact they have a nice "Dodge" logo in silver makes them even better
  13. could be the WIM (ignition module) unit, the key(fob thingy) will go in and turn but the code is not always read/accepted and so the immobilizer on the engine fails to turn off... this item failure can "Start" by occasional non starting/ stopping of engine........
  14. funny that as the box mine came in specifically states " For European market" on the box lid.... and i also have one in the Caliber i own... and both work fine with my I-pod classic( modern version)
