  1. Get them to flash the Body Control Module(BCM). That seems to take care of the problem.
  2. I agree with redtomatoman. Don't kill the messenger, they were just trying to help. I hope this forum doesn't turn out like so many others where they start off nice and polite and after a while they turn ugly and mean.
  3. Mine is always between 600-625.
  4. Here is what the dealer did. Performed capacitive discharge and updated amplifier software. While there they did two other RRTs. 11-078, reprogrammed cabin compartment module, 11-082,reprogrammed body control module. I had the BCM reprogrammed about a year ago but the service writer said this was an update for the starting issues(dead battery).
  5. Taking my 2011 Lux in tomorrow for the same problem. tried to unhook the amp but could only get one plug loose. Dodn't want to break something and then have the dealer say the warranty was void. It is still under warranty so let them fix it.
  6. Had my 2011 Lux BCM flashed back in July and did not have a dead battery problem until just the other day and sure enough went out to start the car and it was dead. Jumped the battery and it has been working fine. The big question is when will be the next time??
  7. I think TeamBedlam has it right. You get the deal you signed up for but if there are better rebates when the car comes in you can take that rebate instead. That was the way my deal worked.
  8. Like you say it is going to take some getting used to from I have experienced so far. Seems like a lot of posts have disappeared.
  9. Check your gas cap. If it isn't on tight your check engine light will come on. Happens all the time on my 2005 Dodge Ram if I'm not careful putting the cap on after a fill up. The code says it is an EGR valve when this happens.
  10. Based on what I just read, don't let your dad give you advice where to invest your retirement!
  11. When we got the 2011 the battery went dead four time the first couple of months. We also heard that it might be due to the auto function. Turned it off but still had a dead battery. Heard we might be leaving the key fob too close to the car in the garage and that could do it. Move the fob away from the car, still dead battery. Took it to the dealer and they flashed the Body Control Module (BCM) and have not had a problem in 6 months. They said it had something to do with the system going into sleep mode but not turning completely off. There is information about that flash on this site. Check all dead battery posts and you will find it.
  12. Don't feel too bad because something similar happened to me too. I looked at a 2011 Lux on the lot with the old bumper style and liked it and thought I ordered one like it. When mine came in it had the new style bumper. At first I was pissed but have since decided it was the best look of the two.
  13. Sorry but it sounds like someone besides the salesman was inept.
  14. ''I have a 2011 Lux that is loaded and it does not have that feature.
  15. I had the TSB done on my 2011 Lux back in July and haven't had a problem since. They flashed the body control module.
