  1. Only upgrades I have done is a K&N air filter with an intake tube from rpm motorsports. I have some better throttle response and slightly better MPG. Looking to get some high performance ignition coils and iridium spark plugs in the spring.

    Hydrosilex

Just wondering if anyone out there has tried these ceramic coatings like Hydrosilex. If so what are your opinions on this?
  3. Looking at getting mine done today. Let you know if I notice anything different.
  4. I have ordered one of these intake resonator delete tubes for myself from RPM Motorsports to found out if there really is any type of gain considering some folks say there is a gain. I will be doing a MPG comparision before and after to see what the difference might be. Worse case I will sell it to the nest guy who owns a Journey! LOL
  5. I have a 2015 blacktop edition and the recall was done on mine but the recall was for the long line that acts as the power steering cooler that goes all the way to the front of the car. I've recently had another power steering issue and it was because the shorter line going towards the rack and pinion let go and ended up getting it replaced under warranty at 42000km. It seems that line also let go at the crimp where the rubber line changes to the rigid metal line. This let go on a cold winter morning just as the other did for the recall. Something for all of you to be aware of. ee
  6. Since the battery was changed long ago I'm happy to say the car starts with the remote start without being plugged in fine even in temperatures as low as -30! I think Interstate batteries work great. I even have one in my work truck which is a Ford E-150 and it starts great in the cold.
  7. I've had the same intermittent issue when coming to a stop and reversing. I have an appointment at my local dealership and the service manager mentioned about a possible software update for the transmission computer. This could be the same TSB 18-008-13 I hope. I will post the results.
  8. Just wondering if anyone out there knows how to retrieve OBD2 engines codes on a 2015 Journey without a scanner tool. I know the older Dodge and Chrysler vehicles had a procedure where you would turn the ignition key from off to on position three times and the code would show up on the odometer.
  9. Well I took my 2015 Journey to the dealership and they ran a bunch of diagnostic tests to find out that my battery had a bad cell so they replaced it with an Interstate battery instead of a Mopar unit. When I asked them why all the test when a good battery load tester would find the same problem they told me that they needed to run these test in order to validate the battery change under warranty and to be sure nothing else in the car was draining the battery. They even have to provide a print out from the diagnostics machine to head office. All that just for a battery change! The tech also told me the only OBD2 code they found was a battery low voltage code.
  10. I have a 2015 SXT Blacktop and have experienced the same issue with the battery dying. Taking it to the dealer tomorrow. I will post what the dealer has done after the appointment.
  11. Thanks for the link. I was able to see my car has a recall for a power steering line.
  12. My parents have studded tires for their Charger and the studs do help on ice. Tried their car out myself and there is a difference when it comes to icy conditions. Studded tires are only allowed in Ontario if you live in northern Ontario. I believe its everything north of the Parry Sound area.
  13. Just wondering if anybody out there has had a set of winter tires from Sailun. The tires I picked up are the Sailun WST1 winter tires for my 2015 journey. They are 225 65R 17. Just looking for some feedback as for their performance. I will be getting them studded to provide extra grip for my wife since she drives the vehicle to and from work mostly.
  14. I use to own a 2010 Journey SXT with 17" rims and had 16" rims with snow tires for winter. Now I have a 2015 Journey Blacktop with 19" rims just wondering if my older 16" winter rims will fit on my newer 2015 journey?? As far as I can tell The 16" rims might not fit being that my 2015 has dual piston front calipers on it. Let me know what you all think. Thanks
