  1. So.. I have a 2010 Dodge Journey right hand drive, its a VW diesel engine and a manual gearbox. I have the dreaded intermittent starting failure... All my dash lights, etc all work and I have already changed the battery for a new one. With mine being manual, I take it I have no range/neutral sensor? Therefore I am getting my mechanic to check: 1) Cabling is good, no breaks or damage 2) Connectors are good, no damaged pins or loose connections 3) Earth bonding is ok and free of contaminants 4) Clutch sensor switch is operational from unit to ignition 5) Automatic Shut Down (ASD) relay is operating correctly (am I right that there are 3no of these?) 6) Crank sensor is operating and free of issue in its connections 7) Starter motor and starter motor solenoid 8) Starter solenoid fuse at this point if it is non of these items should I look at WIN module or the actual key programming? Is there anything else ? someone mentioned that the ignition checks that steering lock is unlocked prior to allowing ignition, is this correct and does this fail often? Thanks Ross
