  1. Hi All, I have a 2009 Dodge Journey with the 2.4L engine. It has about 70,000 miles on it. I have never changed the transmission fluid and the engine coolant is original coolant. The owners manual calls for changing it after 10 years or 120k miles I think. I checked both the tranny fluid Color and coolant Color. They were both in very good condition tranny being almost clear red like new ATF+4 with no burn smell and the coolant is slightly discoloured orange but still pretty orange not looking dark or anything. Should I change these fluids at this point or should I just wait till I reach the mileage? I’m mostly talking about tranny fluid service. I have actually purchased the Hastings transmission filter but have not pulled the trigger on changing the ATF+4 fluid.
  2. I think so. If that’s the case I’ll grab some Castrol ATF+4 from Walmart and top it up. I think they have similar viscosity. It’s interesting how they’re interchangeable for power steering but not interchangeable for transmission. Hmmm..
  3. Possible but my friends Journey doesn’t make that clicking noise he showed me but his is 2009 2.4L so maybe different?
  4. From the passenger side in engine bay it’s a clunky sound if you managed to open the video it’s around 8 second mark. It’s like 3-4 audible clicks after shutting off.
  5. Does anyone know what is the stock power steering fluid coming from factory? I would like to top up mine but don't want to mix the fluids since there is two recommended. Owner's manual recommends either MOPAR power steering +4 or ATF+4 fluids but I have heard mixing them is a bad idea.
  6. Hi All! I have a 2015 Dodge Journey 2.4L and I just noticed the weird clicking sound after turning off (it has been there for a while). Any idea what it is and if it is normal? It isn't a big deal but I want to know what it could and if it's normal (the clicking sound around 0:08 seconds mark). It only has about 10000 miles and still under warranty.
