  1. I don't know how the weight of a hitch could be noticable. I'd like to add one to carry bicycles and my wife's trike, or my small utility trailer for my riding mower and trips to the dump. I've carried a couple hundred pounds of stuff in the back already and barely notice any significant change in performance or braking.
  2. Absolutely love GOOD retrofits. Is there a thread for your work?
  3. Personally, I would like an extra inch to inch and a half. But, I am a Jeep guy as well. I would begin looking for essentially cutting board material as it is a very stable high density plastic that is not terribly expensive. Or maybe even Delrin. An inch won't significantly alter drive axle angles, more than that, you will put a bit more stress on the CV joints in the axle shafts. And start messing with alignment geometry that might be beyond normal adjustment parameters. One could go more extreme and use larger strut spacers and drop brackets for the control arms, but again, you will have issues with drive axle angles unless you lower the engine and transmission a bit. Still more headaches if you want to do all that. The original poster was discussing doing this to the FWD. I did that wih my old Caravan , spacers at the top of the strut, but I modified the engine mounts to rotate the engine a bit towards the back to keep from lowering the engine, but lowering the drive axles. But that also moved them rearward about an inch so they were not straight anyway. No, I have no pictures of that period of time. An inch shouldn't be difficult, and I might just look into it. It is reasonably safe, as the Subaru crowd has been doing it for YEARS!
  4. I got a 5 year 100,000 mile warranty, but I BELIEVE it is mostly powertrain/Drivetrain, unknown about the electronics. I have a couple other avenues through friends to try as far as the radio goes, before resorting to the warranty process.
  5. Besides, ride suffers with shorter sidewalls.
  6. Looks like I need the update DVD or USB... I got into tbe dealer menu. But did not see a reset selection. I saw an R61 recall was done and the recall for steering column wiring is needing to be done. But no R65...
  7. I was not aware of that recall. I bought the car through a Mazda dealer. Is there a simple way to see if this vehicle went in for that recall?
  8. When I select Navigation on my screen, I get nothing at all. Everything else controlled by the radio functions, voice commands and call except I cannot choose GPS time. When I do it defaults to 7:12 AM. Considering a factory reset. But I have not seen this exact issue anywhere online. 2013 DJ Crew, we bought a bit over 10 days ago. I know I have the nav radio as I have the original window sticker.
  9. Thanks! My 2003 Neon is over 230,000, and my 95 Grand Cherokee has taken a pounding and still does it's job at 240,000. My 02Ford developed an oiling issue at 165,000. I am rebuilding an engine for it this winter. The Journey was a big pharma fleet vehicle. Not sure where the aftermarket wheelsccome from. But they are 17" instead of 19". I will be looking for some FWD 17" for snowtires soon.
  10. New owners for 2013 Crew. Has 100,000 miles but got a 5 year 100,000 mile warranty too. We got it for a third of the original price.
