  1. I have a 2009 Dodge Journey and as of today, it is getting it's 7th battery in 3 years. This will be the 3rd battery in the last year. I have had it to several repair shops and they have run all the diagnostics that they can think of and cannot figure out what is draining/ruining these batteries. I do Not leave the built in flashlight plugged in. I do not leave the radio, heater, or even the automatic lights on. There are no dome lights left on, etc. Less than a year ago, the alternator was replaced - the service team said that whatever is draining the batteries finally took it's toll on the alternator and fried it as well. I'm hoping that someone might have some insight onto what this might be. I did read some articles that indicate the Body Control Module might be the culprit, however that was linked to a recall that unfortunately my car was not a part of. Thoughts?
