I have a 2016 Crossroads with tinted windows and sometimes at night when it's really dark it's a little tough to see when backing up.  I know others have put brighter light bulbs in and wanted to report back I did the same.  However, details of the bulb are somewhat lacking.

So, what I purchased was JDM ASTAR 50w Cree 7440 LED White reverse light bulbs.  6000k temp color so they're pretty white.  These bulbs are for the DJ's with LED tail lights. The bulb is bigger than what you'd think, but they fit the housing without issue.  I looked at several other bulbs and even asked sellers to recommend one knowing I was after brighter bulbs.  This was one of the recommended ones over the original I was looking at.  They were a little expensive, but I actually think they're worth the money in the end.  Installation was fast an easy too.  The brightness is at least double if not more, much brighter than the OEM stock bulbs so now I can actually see.  Also the extra light adds to the clearness of the backup camera. Ebay Item number 331338226596.

Hope that helps anyone who's interested.  I have no before or after photos, but I assure you they are brighter.  If you buy them, you'll be pleased.

Those look nice.. the bolt pattern is 5x127mm.  Most wheel places will tell you what fits, so just confirm.  It's not all about the bolt pattern either, offset plays a part of the deal too.

Sorry but I don't entirely agree.  They do signal others that your backing up, but without the light in reverse, how else would you see when it's dark.  With that said, the brighter bulbs I put in mentioned above do add additional light over stock bulbs to see better on dark nights.  No need for extra LED lights at this time for me.  BTW, they're working awesome.  I highly recommend them if your looking for additional light.

I tried that stuff years ago and although first couple times I used it, it did look good but after a couple applications, there's quite a build up.  I personally didn't like the buildup it left after a couple re-applicatons.  I went back to mequires hot shine.  It doesn't last as long but it doesn't leave nearly the residue that the jells left.  Maybe it's worth another try..

I just got a second one for my Journey, and saved a little by going through ebay for the fob.  I used the vin number to identify the model FOB I needed and got one from the keyless king on ebay for $34 delivered.  I then took it to the dealership for programming and cutting of the key.  They charged me $91 to cut the key and program the fob.  As an alternative, I did/do have a local locksmith that could have done it all for $130 but I already ordered the fob so it was to late.  They wouldn't use any FOB other than the ones they provide due to them having alot of issues with people bringing them the wrong fobs for their cars.

Anyways, it wasn't so bad in the end.

Yep, the HVAC actuator is bad and why you hear the clicking noise.  The door isn't moving and your hearing the gear grind.

But the OP isn't asking about a Ford Escape, haha. We don't get that feature in our Dodge Journeys.

Sounds to me you have a bad battery.  You won't hurt anything trying to jump start the vehicle.  Dodge vehicle seem to have issue with low battery.  It causes all kinds of random issues when the cars battery isn't good.

That is pretty much how the AWD system in the journeys works. It isn’t full-time AWD. Your basically running a FWD, but when the vehicle detects loss of traction, it then will engage AWD and strategically deliver power to the rear tires as well.

Big congrats on the new Terrain.  Overall, they're awesome vehicles so I'm sure you'll enjoy it.  I don't know much about the diesels, but i hear they're pretty good.

Most likely scenario would be when the oil was changed last, the cap wasn't put back on at all or just not tight.  I've never heard of this before and there's no way for someone to open your hood without pulling the hood release from within the car.

Well, that looks pretty rough in high speed motion, but I'd bet it's not as challenging as you'd think.  Just gotta take your time and make sure you don't have any left over bolts.

Well buying at demo price should be close to resale of a used car really.  Anything over 5k below retail would be about right in my book.

Steven Harshbarger got a reaction from onecrazyfoo4u in Looking for 3 Row SUV
Well my opinion is this.  the Dodge Journey is a good economical SUV that provides lots of options, awd and 3rd row seating are your main points.  But with that said, even with the larger size, its still kind of small but def the best price point for the options that are important to you.  If you don't have a Dodge journey already, then let me tell you its a nice all around vehicle.  With the v6, it's got plenty of power but a little thirsty in town.  The Durango's I'd say are Dodges premier SUV and if size matters thats an excellent choice but it's going to cost you more.  Having a little more upscale feel, the durango would meet your requirements and still for a decent price in the v6 version.  The Tahoe is def. the biggest and doesn't come in a v6 version, but will offer you all the room you need along with extra cargo space the others you've pointed out won't have. Size wise, smallest to biggest would be the journey, pilot, durango, explorer, then tahoe.  Although the honda is a good vehicle, it's probably going to cost the most simply because it's honda.  As far as space, we have friends with one and I personally wouldn't buy it.  Just not a fan of the SUV altogether has about the same cargo space as the Journey which price wise is alot less.  The Explorer maybe a good option as well, lots of features, but that comes at a price too.  I'd say its on par with the Tahoe.

All of them would serve you, but If it was my money, and it needed to be economical, I'd do the Journey (and did), if money wasn't an object, I'd probably do the Durango over the explorer just because I'm not a big fan of Ford. Personal choice.  And while the tahoe is nice and I am a chevy fan, gas mileage would be an issue, and the honda just isn't my cup of tea.  You would have to drive them all so you make the best decision based on your needs and price.  I wouldn't even talk price, I'd drive them first, then eliminate the ones you know you don't want, then look for the price you need.

Good luck and report back what you purchase.

People who don't use cruise control when on the highway.  That grinds my gears haha.  I hit the highway, and set the cruise.  Then play the leap frog game with multiple cars on my way to work. And texting while driving.  That one gets me too, while traving 80-90mph.. swerving all over the road while texting.  Not good.

When it's talking, quickly turn up the volume on the radio.  It will turn up the NAV volume and not the radio at that time.
