09 3.5 V6 Oil Pan

Has anyone attempted to remove the oil pan from a 2009 3.5 V-6? My gasket is leaking and I went to change it. But I can get the pan off all the way. It is almost as I have to pull the exhaust off the block to drop the pan. Any help is greatly appreciated.
