    2009 SXT MODS

Mods- painted exhaust muffler; test tinting rear lights; tires 235/60/17 FALKEN ZIEX ZE-912; ceramic pads front & rear; K&N CAI 69-2543TTK 69 series Black Typhoon Air intake system...
  3. I did the rears today, rotors and pads. The rear pads were still good but I changed them out anyway...most of the braiking is done uo front looking at the front pads. I went to the dealers last Saturday for the brake, tire rotation and oil change and they wouldn't do the t/r because of the tread being down to the wear bars. All tires looked good when I took them off last weekend and today...damn make $$$ anyway these service reps can piss me off. Little old lady that came in after me said yes to everything they asked to be fixed...damn! now to get back to work on our jetta
  4. I did my front pads and rotors today. The rotors were stuck on and had to PB Blastem, then hammer then off.
  5. Well I took it to the dealer for the 46000 mile service and asked about the noise. An hour later they come back and say two of the engine mounts are bad, one is broken and the other is on its way with the third being changed in case it is going to go bad as well. $1000 later no noise. 46000 miles and engine mounts go bad, sheesh!
  6. this is what the bail out money produced during those turbulent times... but seriously, I'll be taking mine to the dealer next week...damn horrible noise on start up, rumble/grind/groan and it continues as you're driving. Sounds like when you are changing gears with the tiptronic and don't change up in time and then we get something like the smell of burning hair???. I've checked, no squirrels under the hood.
  7. Hey Raider, How much does your buddy charge?
  8. Added mine on Saturday...drove around and it does sound much better when accelerating! I used a dryer vent hose to attach it to the air scoop at the bottom so it would protrude into the K&N and fitted it through that damn rectangular hole. Pic attached. More in the gallery...
  9. Hi guys, I added a K&N CAI. It was for the 2008 - 2010 dodge avenger, 60-2543TTK 69 series. Had to mod it a bit but it sounds good as your accelerating. More pics in the gallery.
  10. Hi all, Does anyone know where this connector is on the SXT Journey? Thanks, GY
  11. Any luck with the pics? Any where else we can see them? Thanks
  12. How easy was it to remove the tail lights after pulling out the plastic pins that hold them in? Was there anything else to remove? Is it clipped in? Thanks!
