  1. That would be awesome to know any info they find. I unfortunately dont have remote start so that wont work but i have found a new trick. While the key is in the ignition i press the lock and unlock buttons and try again and it will fire up after that. Found this trick while sitting in the Walmart parking lot trying to start the car for about 45 minutes and none of the other tricks would work.
  2. I doesnt even start in neutral anymore is the problem. That trick only worked a couple times now nothing. After searching this issue seems like there isnt a fix just tricks to get it started that eventually dont work. Im really thinking its an issue with the something to do with the security system, like an antitheft device isnt turning off. I will get the battery tested just to rule it out but im not hopeful at this point for a fix.
  3. So i found a couple videos of the issue. These are not my videos but its the same issue. Like in the first video I was able to start it in neutral the first couple times but now that trick doesnt work.
  4. The issue happened before the part was replaced and has continued since. Not sure how old the battery is but it doesnt act like a weak/ dead battery, once it does fire up its strong and all electronics work so im pretty sure its not a battery issue. It did it today and didnt want to start and sat for almost an hour trying different things. I looked up some issues and found that this seems to be a common issue that no one including dealers havent figured out. Followed some advice pressing the lock then unlock buttons on the key while its in the ignition and the car fired right up. To me it seems like there is an issue with the security part of the car, like an antitheft device isnt getting turned off some how, not sure if this is the case but maybe. Ive read about a lot of dealers have thrown a lot of parts at it and still not fixed the issue so im not very hopeful for a good outcome.
  5. yes it was and the recall was done.
  6. Guess i should state its a 2009 with the 3.5 V6
  7. Im having issues with my ignition and hoping to see what ever one else thinks or get some advice. The issue im having is sometimes when I go to start the car I just get a click, not clicking like a low
  8. the only way they will cancel your order is if you add your vin number. If you don't add your vin they don't accept returns for parts that don't fit. I just tried to order some 16" steel wheels that were label under the journey from them, put in my vin and then 2 days later got an email saying they didn't fit. They had them list at 56 bucks a piece when I order and after going back through everything they are now listed at 99 a piece so not sure what was going on with that but I went else where for my wheels. If you can get the grill through them its worth a try and if you do get it I would like to know where from. Ive been searching for a couple months now on how to get one.
  9. Yeah the 100 was to dismount and remount the tires. I also haven't had a real need for winter tires except once. I would rather have them on and not need them need and not have. I had one instance where because my tires I wasn't able to get out of my parents drive way even with awd with just all season tires, their driveway is long and steep. Seeing as I've only had the journey for 2 months I haven't seen how it handles in the snow and just looking to be prepared since it's the main family vehicle.
  10. Yeah I knew 17" were cheaper that's why I started looking for some steel wheels. Didn't find steel ones but found some alloys 17" off a 2014 journey some wants to sell. Getting them for 200. I forgot to factor in the cost when I comes time to swap them, around here it cost 100 bucks to do just that, so would be 200 a year extra. Thanks for your input.
  11. I've been debating my 2 inter wheel setup and figured I would ask what others do. I can either get winter tires for my current 19" wheels and have the swapped at spring/fall or get some stock 17" wheels and put the winter tires on those and just swap them when the time comes in the garage. I've found a set of 17"s for 200 bucks. Either way both setups will cost me around 700 bucks. What would you do?
  12. Where did you purchase them at and how much they were? I've been looking for a set, mainly to keep the car cleaner.

    Wheel adapters?

Thanks for the input. I noticed one review from a place that had that same thing so I really don't know
  14. I have a set of aftermarket rims from my last car but the bolt pattern is 5x114.3. I know ours are 5x127 and was thinking about just getting some wheel adapters but havent dealt with those at all before and wanted some opinions.
